BREVIPAROPUS

Breviparopus is a genus of a brachiosauridae sauropod from the Early Cretaceous of North Africa.
While only known from a fossilized footprint, also known as a trace fossil, Breviparopus is estimated to be
one of the largest and tallest dinosaurs to ever walk the earth.

    It looks good, I like the colouring of the neck. I have a little problem with the name though. If I understood it correct, Breviparopus is the name of the trace fossil, but not of the dinosaur. So if we ever find and name the dinosaur that made these foot prints, it will have a different name. You could also name it Sweetenertitan, it wouldn't be wrong :D

    I'm just confused by mods that concentrate on dinosaurs that aren't really known like Ostafrikasaurus, which is only known from teeth. I mean there is almost no reference on how the animal should look like. It leaves a lot of freedom for the creator though :D

      Ecologist/paleoecologist here. Breviparopus is the genus name of the dinosaur, just like Tyrannosaurus or Stegosaurus, not the trace fossil. The genus itself is classed as an ichnogenus because there is no direct fossil material yet, but it is still a valid name so if we were to find the dinosaur it would still be called Breviparopus (unless it had already been described, e.g. if it was discovered to be a species in a pre-existing genus like Brachiosaurus, but that's unlikely). Also we can tell a surprising amount from trace fossils and can have a good educated guess as to what the species looked like.

      Hey there! I agree with LDaranjo. The animal itless is from an area with very little fossilized remains of the time, so whatecer left that print is a species yet known to paleoscience. Breviparopus is still a valid ichnogenus until proven otherwise. As of choices...
      Obscure and unknown species have much more creative freedom to design something unique and interesting looking but still within the range of possibility. I hope you enjoy this mod nonetheless :)

      I was just confused, because it said "unknown type of sauropod" on wikipedia. I also vaguely remember a RickRaptor review of that Korean Tarbosaurus documentary, where a trace fossil was presented as a dinosaur species (I think, but I might be wrong).It definitely looks great so far and I can understand why you would choose the possibly biggest dinosaur (known) :D
