Here's what I don't understand. The section where the mod ideas are posted... IS OPTIONAL. I don't understand why, if they bother people so much, don't you just ignore that section, or more specifically, those posts? There's literally nothing forcing anyone to look at those posts or interact with them in any way. YOU chose to interact with them, YOU chose to let them annoy you. It's not that serious. Someone posted a mod idea... so what? Does it affect your life in any way, shape, or form? NO. So what if the mod ideas are all kind of similar? Who cares? Why should anyone care? If you're going to make the mod proposed by the idea, then great, that poster is now happy. If you know you're not going to make the mod, then it doesn't concern you. This whole "toxic" environment was completely fabricated and avoidable. And before anyone gets offended by what I just said, know that I'm not saying any names or calling anyone out. This was a blanket statement that speaks to everyone as a whole.

Ehhh... There is one problem with them.
Mod Ideas don't get ever made by a modder, because someone made this mod idea. So yeah, ignoring them would make sense, but is still a problem. 1. There CAN be good Mod Ideas and 2. The bad mod ideas take the attention of other posts, which are maybe really good. Also, some people have a problem with ignoring stuff. I have this problem, and its fuqing annoying. You cant just say: "Im gonna ignore it" when you have this problem. Mod Ideas are just annoying, no matter if you ignore them, or not.

It's either how the questions are being asked or what they're suggesting. Most "mod ideas" are either:

      • Extremely obvious and Condescending. i.e., "Did you know that... Amargasaurus?" Yes, we're a very dedicated community that loves dinosaurs enough to work on mods to a dinosaur game. Obviously we know that this extremely popular dinosaur exists, don't treat us like we're 5. The way these posts are worded always acts like the author has had some great revelation that no-one's had before. I can bet both my kidneys and my cat that they're the last person to the party on this - suggesting it is pointless.
      • Pathetically flexing. Some people suggest very obscure dinos that are just clones of dinos we already have. It's so painfully obvious that it's some kid that looked up obscure dinos just so they could post them here and look oh-so-smort and flex their obscure knowledge. It's even clearer in how they word their posts. It's sad, and so extremely unlikeable.
      • Pointless. If mod authors know of the dinosaur and want to work on it, it's already on their list. If they know of the dinosaur and don't want to work on it, you haven't changed their mind. If it's obscure and they don't know about it, they won't suddenly be interested in some obscure creature they didn't care about before just because someone posted a pic of it.
      • Impossible. Again, some people act like they've had a moment of gigabrain. They've seen into the void and God himself stared back at them, giving them an idea to crush all ideas. A solution to all modding problems. A way to add things we've so far thought impossible. In reality, it's always either the first, most obvious thing we've tried (and it didn't work), or something so impossibly daft to anyone who knows how this stuff works that it's not even worth trying. And as I'm sure we can all agree, someone coming into a topic you know and acting all "genius" suggesting really stupid stuff is just frustrating as all hell to read.
      • Stupid (1). This is just something a preschooler saw and thought looked cool. To anyone with functioning eyes, it just looks ridiculously dumb and isn't worth hours of work - so it will never be made.
      • Stupid (2). This is also true for some people suggesting mechanics with absolutely no knowledge of how game balance works. I've had people who haven't spend a single minute working on anything game-related come in and write essays about their ideas on how to add really stupid stuff and how to solve problems - none of which would actually work gameplay-balance-wise, nor code-wise, for extremely obvious reasons to anyone working on this. And they never accept that as an answer.

There are a few people who post cool ideas, but those are very rare. The others are just frustrating by either being condescending and treating modders like children, being some pathetic attempt to flex by some dumb kid, some absolutely daft suggestion that ignores everything about how mods/games work, or is just impossible to make and we all know it is. Hope this explains why we aggressively dislike mod ideas.

Okay, for real tho. I think they're both were toxic, while TyrantX was pointing out how TinyGamer was being an *sshole to the users who posted up mod ideas, he himself was a bit harsh.

Tiny however kept up the attitude and left because some people disagreed with him and called him toxic, wich yes, if you keep on bashing people with 'Do it yourself' even tho they don't have the tools, why bash them? But again, it boils down to the whole point of those who post the mod ideas are asking modders to actually do it or not, but blocking them from downloading your mods? That's unexcuseable imo. Hell, LAStudios said they hate the fact some people don't read the descriptions in the mods and how to download them, not those who post mod ideas. Did they say they block them? No, they're pissed at those who didn't read how to download their mods.

TryantX however, he was mostly just in the community posts and such, and while he was very serious and he was probably more toxic than Tinygamer, there's no f*cking way you can spare Tiny's toxicity and say that's okay, because mod ideas are 'bad'. Mod ideas aren't bad, but the people who MAKE them, are bad. Like SpinosaurusTheKing, posted an idea about an InGen adult Spino and Baryonyx, he was toxic, yet he posted the ideas. I don't hate the ideas, but the guy is very f*cking toxic and very whiny compared to Tyrant and Tiny.

yea so hello, I am back,

My problem with the Mod Ideas that everyone always posts are not that they're being posted. My problem with the mod ideas are that they are all the same, something that many modders have thought of what is ''requested'', and that they are all just one line of text saying someone needs to make. And you can call me toxic for saying it, but then you can expect the reaction; do it yourself.

I've said it before, but the concept of posting mod ideas doesn't mind me much at all but that only is if the ideas are well thought out and not just saying SoMeOnE ShOuLd MaKe ThiS. For example most of TheAnzuGod's idea's are the ones most modders like to see:

And y'all say I'm the most toxic person ever. Which is not true, sure I can be a dick and I'm not gonna even try to say that's not true. But there are always worse people that you just don't know of, because looking at your profile you haven't been here for all that long. We have people like TyranntX, NARONTET (impae) and Shanccc.

Well, I was here a lot. But never cared about the posts at all, I was more focused on the mods. Like yes, TyrantX was toxic. But I still do think that mod ideas are fine overall, it's just the people who make the mods seem to be demanding at times. But for me what made you a bit on the whole topic of toxic, is the fact you gone ahead and started to randomly ramble at people who posted a mod idea, even tho they posted an idea about the ACU soldiers doing something wich is an interesting idea imo, but I do think that whole thing from you was a bit uncalled for. They probably were new.
