   Don't worry, you're not disappointing anyone. You were very ambitious and tried something new that didn't quite work out, but the model was already great to begin with. And I think it is a good call that you decided to not add feathers, rather than to implement them in a suboptimal way. Looking forward to seeing the finished result once you feel satisfied with your creation :)

      Yeah what he said. You can always texture it to look like it has feathers. You know, ILLUSIONS! :D

      Thanks guys realli means a lot to me for your encouraging words yh I'll try to see if I can use texture to make it appear it has feathers

      For reference, you could look at NetRaptor's Anzu mod. I think it is a great example of "illusion feathers":

      That being said, don't feel pressured to add feathers now, you can always update the mod at a later point if you like.
      The most important part is that you yourself are happy with the mod you made ^^
