The game provided a way to use body and head's models to be used multiple time for different characters with different textures, but the native game use a very little of the feature. From this version, I will start to add more variety of body and head textures. I start it with to replace Baker Bei's modle from commoner head to Haples Han's model, but with cleaner texture (without red eye injury), and giving scars to one of novice student of Leopard Kungfu School and recoloring the hair accessories of another novice.
Whike I am very happy with my mods of Ice Pillar that add texture replacement of the victim to be iced, it come with a price that revealed after I made more use of overriding body and head material. I found that after I froze the novice students of Leopard School, they would change their uniform into borhers uniform and their head texture 's reseted. It seems that the overided material is reseted along with the ice pillar's texture replacement effect wear off. So, until I find a work around about it, I decided to remove the texture replacement of Ice Pillar.

Fix 'bugs' on the forest. If you grind a lot, you'll find 3 spots in the forest that the ghosts 'd always respawned. But the one in front of the inn have a ghost 's respawned dead. This mods fix it, so you can maximize the grinding result. But, for balancing and challenging reason, I made killing the respawned ghosts will not give you XP unless they're trapped in the ghost trap at least once.
Make it possible to select any martial arts styles as starting style. Yes, only 4 styles available on customization, but all remain styles can be used by cycling the player character selection.

Dunde's Ultimate Mods of JADE EMPIRE
v 1.11
This is my override folder of Jade Empire, this is how I play the game now. I made some changes in the gameplay by recompiling more than 400 ncs files for last 4 years in my spare times. Some noted changes are:
New resistant system, so the creature will not only 100% immune of some styles, but can be 0-100% resistance or may be vulnerable of certain styles.
Weapons now can't be blocked by bare hands, so beware of using martial or magic styles against enemies with weapons, as you can't block their attack anymore.
Floating text of damage
Option to make bookstands that have been read already become unelectable.
Setting to enable/disable features, you can access it by standing still for a while until a powerup 's created in front of you. Take the power up and you will enter the setting menu.
Leaping Tiger as Martial Style will no longer has physical claws. Weapon version of it will has the physical claws, and it will be the only weapon style that can do damage to spirits (the spirits will have 50% resistance, instead of immune as it for other weapon style).
This mods include last version of UI Overhaul mods (excluding the fullscreen movies, you should download them from miscellaneous file section of UI Overhaul mods), No Pause mods, and all other mods I made for Jade Empire.
New Styles, some you can select it as starting martial style, and some can be bought from stores. Monkey Paw Style can be learnt from a little new quest at the school.
Beating Kia Min record needs to beat 7 instead of 5 opponents.
Improved some scripted cutscenes ingame.
Improved Leopard Kungfu School Plots. Smiling Hawk's followers will not run away anymore, they will defend their master (since v1.09)
New appearance for Hapless Han and Warrior Zhang. They will wear Two River School Uniform no more (since v1.09).
Some improvements on area's placeables that missed in the original game, like mosquito on the beach, animated doors, minimalizing usage of fade screen on spawning/unspawning characters in cutscenee. (new on v1.10)
More lively and varieties animals (new on v1.10)
Optimizing usage of bodyovermat.2da and headovermat.2da to reduce identical characters appearance (new on v 1.10)

Playing Kungfu School Quests with v 1.09
This is additional sparring session arranged by Smiling Mountain. Smiling Mountain 's scaled to Level 3 Boss in this fight, so he will be strong enough to test your skill. It's also a sneak peek of 2 ultimate styles of the mods, as Smiling Mountain will demonstrate both of them against you.

Backup your dialog.tlk
Backup your override folder, rename it to overrideORI or something like it.
Extract the mods into your Jade Empire folder so you will have new dialog.tlk and override folder.
Restore your backup of dialog.tlk and override folder.
FAQ:
Q : Is it compatible with Jade Empire In Style? A : No! Both mods have some changes of gameplay mechanisms by new scripts, so you should choose between two. You will find different experience by playing them one by one.
Q: Does the mods have secret styles, beside Monkey Paw Style? A: Yes! For quick hints, you should maximize Martial Style version of Leaping Tiger level, and find the claws for your own to get weapon version of it. For the follower of High Path, you should maximize your Ice Shard level, kill The Mother, and some upgrade of Heavenly Wave Style to get your ultimate Ice Style. For the follower of Low Path, maximize your Magic Fire style, kill Spirit Fox, and get some upgrade for Hidden Fist style to get your ultimate Fire Style. The ultimate styles are martial arts with magical ranged heavy attack.
