Play as Sir Roderick Ponce Von Fontlebottom the Magnificent Bastard with his trusty and infallible blunderbuss, Mirabelle from the start of the game. Accomodations have been made so you are granted a free martial style (White Demon) in addition to Mirabelle and Heavenly Wave, as the alternative is a focus limit soft lock.

Hi, this is my first mod. I love Jade Empire and with the recent release of Marvel's Shang-Chi and the Ten Rings my interest in Wuxia and thusly Jade Empire was rapidly renewed. I looked into some mods and was disappointed there wasn't as big of a community, but if you're a Jade Empire fan you've probably come to expect that.
What this mod lets you do is play as John Cleese's character, Sir Roderick Ponce Von Fontlebottom the Magnificent Bastard, an outlandish foreigner you encounter later in the game, in addition to this it allows you to select Mirabelle (Blunderbuss) the gun weapon style from the very beginning of the game.
Unfortunately, as some of you may be aware with similar mods is that because of how the combat works it is difficult to start as a weapon/magic user.
You are meant to have a martial offensive/heavenly wave and if you mod in a weapon/magic style, you quickly run out of Chi/Focus and can no longer damage people.
To workaround this you are provided the White Demon style free at the beginning of the game. Simply complete the tutorial fight (All of which can be done with Mirabelle in a hilarious fashion), go speak to Smiling Mountain (The large vendor near spawn, you face him upon exiting combat) and purchase the White Demon fighting style for 0 silver. Use this to get through any tricky fights.
To install, drag override into your Jade Empire\override and agree.
To activate, start game, Choose Monk Zeng, custom, and select Mirabelle as your starting style. After defeating tutorial combat, purchase White Demon from Smiling Mountain and you are off to the races.
Hope the few people who see this enjoy it! He's quite a funny character to play as. Surprisingly, he even comes with audio effects from taking damage. Occasionally, he'll even yell 'Bloody Hell!'.
