About this mod

ONLY USE WITH ITR 0.7
A small collection of mini-mods that make exploring the early alpha a bit more bearable.

Changelogs
ITR 0.7 is the last version before the game moved to what we currently know as "1.0". It has a different world map altogether, and contains a lot of very ealry concepts that were thankfully refined in following versions of the game.
I feel it is still worth a try, but it is very rough and umbalanced, and quite frankly not a very pleasant experience, so I made a few modlets that will allow things to be more bearable.

First things first. How to get the 0.7 version of the game ?

  • Type steam://open/console into the address bar of your browser of choice.
  • It opens a console tab in your steam client, type : "download_depot 1012790 1012791 4384094625757114742"
  • It will download the depot, it takes a while and there is not progress bar
  • It tells you when it is done, the game will be found in \Steam\steamapps\content\app_1012790\depot_1012791
Feel free to move or rename the folder.
You launch the game by running the IntoTheRadius.exe executable found within.
Launch it while already in VR with your controller turned on.
I also strongly advise launching it as an administrator.

How to install mod for this version ?

Same as a the normal one, but no Vortex support so you do it manually.
Put the .pak files in : [0.7 base folder]\IntoTheRadius\Content\Paks
This goes without saying but ONLY USE MODS MADE FOR 0.7, mods made for the current version of the game will not work.

What are these modlets and what do they do ?

Only use one of the mods marked with *

ITR Alpha Easier Economy
  • Increases the sell value of all artifacts and monster cores
  • Increases the reward of missions accordingly
To say that 0.7 economy is rough and poorly balanced is an understatement. Most mission barely give enough money to buy a single box of pistol
ammo. And selling artifacts and core outside of missions only gives pocket change. This ensure a more steady revenue.

ITR Alpha Slower Pace*
  • Slows the passing of time in the Zone. (x15 instead of x60)
  • Reduces the weekly rent the player has to pay. (50 instead of 500)
  • Roughly doubles the time the player can sprint.
The base game is very punishing on that front, and night falling after 10 minutes spent in the Radius can be a jarring experience. This brings the pace closer to vanilla 1.0/2.0.

ITR Alpha Adventurer*
  • Same as "slower pace"
  • Gives 20 000$ of starting cash
Allows the player to start off with basically any loadout and not worry too much about money through the game.

ITR Alpha Explorer*
  • Same as "Adventurer"
  • Gives the player unlimited stamina
Perfect if you want to easily go from place to place in the old Radius but still face the challenges and threats the dev intended.

ITR Alpha Tourist*
  • Same as "Explorer"
  • Enemies ignore the player
  • Anomalies no longer deal damage

If you want casually sight-see in the 0.7 Alpha without any worry.

If you are looking to experience the game as intended (but better) use Slower Pace and Easier Economy. It will play out as the game is intended but with less grind.

General 0.7 tips

Even with those mods the game is hard and incredibly punishing.
  • Enemies deal incredible amount of damage, a Fragment can 2-shot you. Keep your distance.
  • Anomalies are significantly harder to spot, use probes at all times
  • The only way to heal in the Radius is by using a regen artifact, avoid damage at all cost
  • Buy an artifact detector if you don't already have one
  • The zone resets every time you enter it. Do all you have to do in one go.
  • Your active mission determines where you get in, it is the green circle on your map.
  • Same as 1.0 you can exit the zone by walking to the map's edge
  • When delivering mission item, you have to manually close the cabinet using the trigger.
  • If you die 90% of your stuff will be lost. So don't.
  • The AKM may glitch out and kill you while you hold it. No idea why, but it happened to me twice.
