This mod is aimed to overhaul most of Popp's spells with new ones or "stronger" versions of them. All his vanilla spells operate the same: a projectile launched at the casted position to a short-middle distance. It feels quite disapointing considering the hude range of cool spells in the Dragon Quest franchise. That's the main reason I've started working on this mod. This mod includes: new casting animations, new spell descriptions and names, new icons, new spell mechanics and effects, and a lot more. The only aspect that have not been altered is spells' damage (I think Popp is overpowered enough). The full list of changes include:
Frizzle: Now it is casted at the target's and its range has been increased. I wanted to make it looks more like a proper fire pillar
Crackle --> Kacrack: no more ice orb, a massive ice spike casted at the target's. Again, with increased distance.
Sizz --> Zap: I've always loved zap-tier spells; and sizz-family in this game feels quite dull.
Bang --> Boom: casted at the target's or in form of an orb mine when no target is found. Boom --> Kaboom: I JUST LOVE that massive burst. It was a mistake not to include it in Popp's magic arsenal.
REQUIREMENTS: Last version of the game.
INSTALLATION: Extract the ".rar" content in your "~mods" folder. Create one in your game's folder if you do not have one: "...Strash\strash\Content\Paks\~mods".
UNISTALLATION: Just remove the file. There is no issue at all by adding/removing the mod at your will.
COMPATIBILITY ISSUES: This mod is compatible with any other mod on nexus atm.
CURRENT VERSION: 0.1- Initial release.
