About this mod
What this does is makes it so that when you install parts on your Vehicle it takes zero hours and the only way you can progress in the game is to actually Race your car. In the normal game you don't have to race because you can progress the time by installing parts, and makes the game more challenging.

Installing the hard part this requires Xdelta, and Xdelta UI but they are included with the Patch.
Be sure to make a backup copy of the resorce.rod file for later use or for restoring the game back to it's normal state.
To apply this patch to your Hot Rod: American Street Drag Game, First extract this zip file to a blank directory, then open the folder where Hot Rod is installed, C:\Program Files\ValuSoft\Canopy Games\Hot Rod American Street Drag look for the file resource.rod copy that file over to the directory where this patch is along with the included Xdelta UI program rename your copied resource.rod file there to resource.ro1 open or click on Xdelta ui to run it select patch the file ending with .xdelta and the source file to patch resource.ro1 for the Output file select to save it as "resource.rod" then click patch, once it is patched take the newly created "resource.rod" file and copy it over in the directory where Hot Rod is installed C:\Program Files\ValuSoft\Canopy Games\Hot Rod American Street Drag when asked to replace existing file select yes to over write "resource.rod" with the one you just "Patched"
Once this is done wait a few minutes and just to be safe restart your computer before running the Hot Rod game, and every thing should work fine afterwards and you will notice that the parts no longer take any time to install.

The resource.rod file mentioned above for Hot Rod: American Street Drag is a archive that the game uses to store game files and you can open it with Winrar by renaming it as a .rar file, and can edit files inside the archive with it opened in Winrar and save changes back to the .rar file then afterwards rename it back to .rod and replace the original file to keep your changes. At Your Own Risk Of Course.
