I've used every god ray addon file on the nexus and steam community, and i can not get them to look like anything you have in your video's... I've even used every EMB you've posted a video on and still nada... So my question is gopher, how are you so awesome, and why do your videos always look better then mine? Even with the nvidia setting set to ultra... And all of the amazing texture packs and addons I can think of being used... the example being minute 1:45 of the Opethfield6 video
This seems good but the brightness is too much that ofa tropical setting , is it posssible to reduce ir or is there a version that is yactually more like northenr climates?w
Another ENB you might try is Phinix Natural ENB http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/24235/? It's quite good, and packs more of a punch than most due to his personal tweaks to not only the ENB files, but also a custom .esp. It has good performance too.
thank you for this post! ive always wanted a natural looking enb that didnt drop my fps too much. i can run this one a stay for the most part above 50fps, i may try the performance option too just to see. my system in case anyone wants to know how it may run on there system is a 3570k oc to 4.5 GHz with a 660ti running at 1080p i have everything set to ultra no other mods.
You should also take a look at RealVision ENB Climtes Of tamriel edition it is the most fantastic and realistic looking ENB Ive ever seen though Not sure about the demands on performance....
Ok, cool... but friends... I have a question. you candownload two or five enb and without slow performance ? what is the limit suitable? yes performance this is important. but realvision is cool. I have just see
I considered the performance option for Seasons, but honestly after seeing the full version I felt it was doing it a disservice. That is one I feel needs the whole nine yards, all the bells and whistles etc. It is the sort of ENB mod that makes you want to go 'ooooh'
Well dirty you had started the topic from what I could see so i just put out my thoughts to any one willing to look. Wasnt trying to make any one upset....
I think SkyRealism had decent performance. Any ENB that is using the latest versions will have decent performance compared to the ones using earlier versions of ENB
The biggest problem with most of this ENB/ weather mods it's the sky is often too dark/colorful compared to the landscape's lighting.
It results to a weird rendering, with the feeling of a strong light coming from nowhere. The sky should be a lot clearer (nearly white) on the horizon, and blue right above the character.
That's why I think Vanilla (or some soft lighting mods) is not so bad and well-balanced, even if, of course, it is sometimes less sexy...
Anyway, I'm working on my own little weather mod then you could see what I mean
In any case, this series on enb raises all my interest. And the subject is treated with professionalism. Anyway, I'll continue to follow before making my choice. A big thank you to the additional lighting commentators and kudos to gopher.
My ENBs are probably too demanding, performance wise. I think they're not to advice to the vast majority of users, and I don't think it would be a good thing that Gopher covers ANY of them. To say the truth, I also left the tweaking scene for that reason : users are waiting for performance, and I'm tweaking for quality. K ENB 0.186 already exists but will not be released since it's even more performance demanding.
Thanx for your opinion, boerthi, but let's forget K ENB.
Thank you ! But, let's keep being honest... Since I've been reading these ENB threads (hatts off to Gopher for it BTW), the main words are "performance" and "realism" or "realistic", whatever the ENB, wether it was Sharp's, Bronze's, or Opeth's....
If I heard it well at the end of this video, Gopher's planning to review a performance-dedicated preset...
All of this has nothing to do with K, or the other way around... I'm not disappointed by it, truly. If I was ever searching for popularity, I'd never had designed K ENB the way it is
I am going to cover a small range of ENB mods to give a broad idea of the possibilities, as well as covering alternative mods/tweaks etc. After that I am open to covering any and all such flavours and styles as are out there
kyo another thing. Sure, we talk about performance, and I am, because we fear to see our character jumping from image to image. But it is above us, who are not modders, that we worry, because of our misunderstandings of the subject. In any case, I'm talking about including me.
This is a big deal when it comes to ENB. You get a fair amount of people seem to expect an ENB to make the game look realistic when it isn't always about that. Sometimes people need to take a step back and understand the authors vision. If I had a pound for everyone that said Unreal Cinema didn't look realistic (hey the clue's in the name folks) I think I'd put Richard Branson to shame, haha.
Even on K-ENB, especially when it was first released, the amount of people that wanted to change this or that because it wasn't realistic enough (despite it being made pretty clear that wasn't the goal right at the top of it's original file description) was just ridiculous.
Some of us look at ENB as a way of creating a different art style for the game, not just as a way to make it look more realistic. Fortunately more and more people are starting to get the idea, but we still have some way to go, lol.

why are you posting in my post ?
Ironically, I do offer those options as well. >_< lol
(Gopher, you know what you're doing, so we'll let YOU decide lol)
Note: I still think that the Cinemascope ENB and Zoners High Performance ENB are the best choices for the next video.
(flame away lol)

And for the record, Opethfeldts work is awesome.
