    So I saw that this was updated and uninstalled the older version and installed the newer one, but the game now won't load, whether it's a save or new game. If I remove the new files it loads correctly.

      I tested this thoroughly to make sure everything was good. My guess is you may have another mod causing your game to crash. Can you try loading up the game with this mod alone first, then add the rest of your mods one at a time. I'm currently using the mod myself with many other mods and it's working fine. There must be a conflict with something else in your dx12 folder.

      I did some quick trouble shooting and I found a weird conflict with the Intro Logos Skip mod and with Aloy's Adjustments when enabling the remove intro logos option.

      I think both of those mods skip intro logos so they are both modifying the same stuff but skipping intro videos shouldn't have any conflicts with this mod.

      I didn't have them both running at the same time and I called it a weird conflict because I also thought they shouldn't be conflicting but when I removed the logo option from my Aloy's Adjustments bin I could load my game. So I then tried just this mod plus the Intro Logos Skip mod combined and had the same crashing issue.

      I'm running the game fine now with Aloy's Adjustments and this mod having uncheck the skip logos option.

      Okay, thanks for the info. That's quite interesting. I'm going to look into this and perhaps break down the bins into more files. There is likely something conflicting somehow.

      No worries. Fortunately it was a pretty simple workaround, just thought I'd mention the strange conflict I was having.

      I'm currently testing why the armor model swap from Adjustments doesn't work by adding one mod at a time and re-loading a save. I can only load said save with Adjustments AND Better Drops active if Better Inventory and Ammo Capacity is also active. If the latter is not in the Packed_DX12 folder, I get stuck at the loading screen (also when trying to start a new game or NG+).
      Without the bin file from Adjustments, Better Drops works just fine, with or without the Inventory mod. Strange.
      EDIT: This does not happen with the 1.1 version. I will stick with that for now.

      That is really strange. Drop qualities have nothing to do with any of the other mods so no idea there.

      Anything major - technically - changed from 1.1 to 1.2? It's funny that the old version works with Adjustments and without Better Inventory, but the new one does not.

      Drop rates are much better on 1.2, it also includes loot quality from human enemies and whatnot. If 1.1 is working fine for you just keep using that one. I edited additional files in 1.2 and more than likely the other mod you are using is also modifying one of those files and causes the conflict.

      Just encountered this issue of not being able to load anything also have Aloy's Adjustments the only patch I had from it was swapping shield weaver to the banuk sickness eater model, I removed the one AA mod and it works so there seems to be some general conflict between AA and this mod, doesn't seem to matter what AA changes

      EDIT: I was partly wrong, its not this mod that is conflicting with AA its better inventory and ammo capacity https://www.nexusmods.com/horizonzerodawn/mods/114?tab=files
      As AA and Better inv can do the same thing so my solution was just to remove better inv and all seems to be working now

      If you are having that issue, using version 1.1 of this mod seems to work. I really have no idea what in the world is going on with that mod conflicting with drops. They are not related to one another in any way. Character models and drops are like two different fruit lol I don't think there is anything I can do about this as what I am changing isn't related to what that mod does.

      Just updated my post but in case you didn't see its actually not this mod its your Better inventory and Ammo capacity mod that is causing issues with AA files, not sure if that helps you figure the issue out but for me at least it does not really matter as you can do the same thing with AA

      Ah okay, that makes more sense. I think I know why, they both modify ammo and inventory capacities. Even if you don't make ammo/inventory modifications on that mod it must be overwriting values. I'll break that mod down a bit further and I think I can make it work, at least with model replacements.

      Thanks for mentioning this. I don't have to update the mod anymore since Aloy's Adjustments does exactly the same thing and gives the user control of the multiplier. I'll likely remove my inventory/ammo capacity mod in a couple weeks time. Pretty neat tool!

      Now I'm confused. I can load a save or start a new game with Adjustments, Better Drop AND Better Inventory, but the model swap feature would not work correctly. Wiht only Adjustments and Better Drops latest version, I can't load a save or start a new game. That seems to be just the opposite for Blanket333 - or did misinterprete the post.
      @ Blanket333 can you please confirm that you have no issues with Adjustments (model swap & inventory increase) and the lastest version of Better Drops.

      My game wont load with aloy's adjustments using v1.2 of this mod, but it work fine with v1.1. Would be great if you could get v1.2 also work with aloy's adjustments :)

      You can use Aloy's Adjustments with v1.2 but when using Aloy's Adjustments under the Misc tab, make sure skip intro videos is not checked. That seems to be what causes the issue. If that's unchecked both of the mods should work together.

      Thanks for your reply, v1.2 don't work for me and I dont use skip intro videos from this mod, and I turned it of in Gameplay Tweaks and Cheat Menu, but still don't work. I removed mods and testet many settings and only tested with this mod and aloys adjustments. but still not luck. Anyway 1.1 is working.

      Interesting, I am really not sure why you are having issues. I'm able to download 1.2 and load up the game just fine. I just tested it.

      I downloaded it today and it works fine for me, I removed the old files and put in the new files and my old save loaded without problems. So neither sure what wrong on his side, maybe try a new install of the mod, sometimes with dowloading it can get corrupted.

      There is most certainly something wrong going on with version 1.2....When i load an old save on 1.2 the "loading bar" at the bottom of the screen always gets stuck at 75% and stays there forever....if I install the older 1.1 the same old save will launch just fine and I can play the game.  Using AA, better inventory, natural rain and various texture mods, that's it.  Do not use skip intro.

      The problem is with AA. Remove AA and you can launch the game fine. AA modifies the game in a strange way. I have a theory that it builds the bin file along with the mods that are in your game directory. For example, let's say you have 3 mods installed already and then you run AA. It will create a bin file that works with those 3 mods. The problem with this is if you now download a new mod and throw it into your game directory - game will no longer work properly because AA's bin file wasn't created with the latest mod you downloaded in it's bin file so it's not compatible anymore. This is just my theory based on what I have seen.

      I might but I've got other things going on now, not sure when I will play Forbidden West. I'd rather wait anyway since these days games get a ton of patches regularly for awhile after release.

      I second what ndhien said above, while I absolutely love forbidden west so far grinding out specific parts can be tedious. However the drop system for forbidden west is very different compared to zero dawn, most of the rare components that can be tore off using tear arrows don't appear in the machine's drop table upon their deaths, they can only be shot off before they die, and looted on the ground separate from their corpse loot. I'm not sure if it would even be possible to add those drops to the drop tables from their deaths. What would be great is a mod that increases the drop rate of rare animal parts as that drop system is the same as it was in zero dawn. Also a mod that increases the max ammo capacity, I hate constantly running out of arrows mid fight and having to dodge away to craft arrows while being attacked.

    The game crashes with an error (it doesn’t even enter the menu), in the new version. The old version of the mod works

      If it is failing to load up for you it's because you have another mod that is incompatible with this. Make sure you aren't using Aloy's Adjustments and you should be fine.

      Can confirm that the old file works, but the new one gives you infinite loading screen even without any other mods installed. At least that was the case for me.

    Does this mod include Frozen Wild unique mods? I want to equip only the best mods for my weapons and outfits, but I'm not keen on beating the DLC over and over again.

    I was wondering if there's a way to mod karst the merchant into selling those bonus items again (carja mighty bow, banuke culling bow etc)

    I've read a bunch of people (myself included) not knowing these bonus are a once per play through thing and sold it for inventory management. not even NG+ is going to return these unique items.

    it doesn't have to be karst. could be any way at all to get them again. having the tokens doesn't help with these 2 bows.

    The new version seems to be working nicely, from a small sample size it does result in a lot more hearts/cores, once even 2 lenses from one watcher (not sure that's supposed to happen), but then the amount of coils seems to be significantly reduced (30 samples: vanilla drops: 14, mod v1.1: 2, mod v1.2: 4) what gives? Perhaps there's a loot cap and coils get overridden by other stuff?
    Also, I'm curious why the mod file size is so large suddenly, from 0.3MB to 31MB?

      Hi Deiwulf,

      Appreciate you doing testing :) Which robot were you doing your tests against? Coils don't drop as often because more quality drops are in the pool. Your odds of seeing hearts and lenses on machines are higher. I can set coils/weaves to be the most prominent items but then you would get less lenses/hearts. I found the balance to be better this way because fighting tougher enemies almost guarantee a coil drop, for example fighting a thunderjaw/stormbird is almost always going to give you a purple coil/weave. Minor machines still have a good chance of dropping coils/weaves but less likely compared to hearts/lenses, etc. The pool also includes blue & green items for vendors that you could sell for shards that normally don't drop very often in the vanilla version.

      The size change is due to me using a new method to edit the files. In the past I was doing a lot of hex editing. Size changes are minimal with hex editing but it is also way more time consuming for me.

      Appreciate the quick response :) I see now it's more or less as I thought, so thanks for confirming it. Testing was done on a group of grazers/watchers from a load a few times, so yeah, at first I assumed that relatively it's the same for any machine. Kinda swimming in hearts (seen a sawtooth with 2 hearts -- that's defo not right lmao), lenses, and shards now even though I'm barely 20% in, would still prefer more coils version tbh.
