Accio Masochism - All in One is the full Masochistic package! Purely designed with the intention of making the game more challenging and punishing (at least much more than it currently is).

The aim of this mod is to make the combat a little more souls-like and the general pacing of the game a little bit slower.

Disclaimer: I highly recommend going through the mods below and making sure you're okay with the changes. Many of them have several variants to make it more/less punishing than what's in the All-in-One package. You can find the individual mods and their variants in the optional section of the files tab.

Also, I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend a new save or at the least a very early one to get the most out of this mod.

If you do choose to trade in a mod that's inside the All-in-One package for another AM mod, use the MOD MERGER and make sure the All-in-One package is loaded first and then load whatever changes you want after so it can be overwritten.

This is a first draft version with limited play testing (especially late game), I'm sure there will be tweaks needed! Feedback welcome and encouraged!

Accio Masochism - Dodging removes the invulnerability you receive while dodging, so now you need to dodge more carefully.

Disclaimer: It doesn't seem to be consistent with AoE spells like Incendio. However, I've had very consistent results with Melee and Ranged Spells.

Accio Masochism - Enemies (Attack Rate) is a modification to the enemies' attack rate which makes them more aggressive and attack more often.

This mod comes in 3 variants.

Values are a percent increase over default.
1 Enemy / 2 enemies / 3 enemies / 4+ enemies

Relaxed: 20% / 15% / 10% / 5%
AM Normal: 50% / 50% / 25% / 15% (in the All-in-One package)
Pain Mode:  75% / 60% / 50% / 25%

Accio Masochism - Enemies (Level Scaling)

Accio Masochism - Enemies (Level Scaling) is a mod that alters how enemy level scaling works.

This mod has 6 variants.

Classic: Removes the cap on how high a level an enemy can be. Some may still have a minimum level so they can be higher than you. But with this you will never find an enemy that's a lower level than you.
Classic + Boost: Same as classic but every enemy will also be 3 levels higher than you or their minimum level. They will even go over level 40.

Region Minimum Increase: Same as classic, also -> Each region in the game has a minimum level for their enemies, this variant raises that minimum level by 5. (in the All-in-One package) (Check below for specifics)
Region Minimum Increase + Boost: Same as Region Minimum Increase but now enemies will be 3 levels higher than you or their newly raised minimum.

No minimum: All enemy minimum levels are removed; i.e enemies will always be the same level as you no matter what.
No minimum + Boost: Same as No Minimum but enemies will be 3 levels higher than you at all times.

Accio Masochism - Experience (Reward Gains) alters how much experience is received from completing certain actions (quests, finding field pages, etc.)

The alterations in this mod were built around Accio Masochism - Experience (Levels) and Accio Masochism - Challenges

  • EXP from all quests/assignments are reduced by 25%
  • EXP from finding field pages is now 25 - down from 80
  • EXP from completing challenges increased by 50% (to compensate for the increased amount needed in AM - Challenges)
  • EXP from killing enemies lowered to 10-25 depending on the enemy (only available when those specific enemy challenges aren't yet completed as it's only rewarded when "challenge progress" ticks)  
  • EXP from clearing bandit camps increased to 50 - up from 40

The number of materials needed to upgrade gear stats have been increased by 2 across the board.

This mod was built with Accio Masochism - Creatures in mind.

Accio Masochism - Gear (Traits) changes the number of and materials required to add traits to your gear.

The number of materials needed follows this pattern:
Tier 1 traits need 2 of X.
Tier 2 traits need 3 of X etc.

The exception being traits that upgrade your curses or total spell damage. Those will need one extra, so Tier 1 will require 3 of X, Tier 2 will require 4 of X etc.

For the actual materials needed I tried to match them based on the "rarity" of them. So, for more powerful traits you will need "rarer" materials.

Accio Masochism - Loot (Humanoids)

Not much to say, it reduces how much loot humanoids drop when killed (or rather increases the odds they'll drop nothing).

There is an Accio Masochism - Loot (Beasts) in the works, but it's being weird, and I need more time to work out the kinks.

Accio Masochism - Potions is a potions rework that alters the required and increases the number of ingredients needed to brew a potion.

This mod comes in 3 variants that change the brewing times. The ingredient changes stay the same across them all.

To help balance out the ingredient changes the duration of potions has been increased.

Accio Masochism - Room of Requirements

Accio Masochism - Room of Requirements is an overhaul that increases the transfiguration price (moonstones) as well as increases the time of item generation (hopping pot, material refiner, etc.)

All moonstone requirements are essentially doubled (some a little more than doubled) with the exception being the Material refiner and Hopping Pot. Both of which now require 150 moonstones to create.

Accio Masochism - Talents

Accio Masochism - Talents is a rework of the talent trees aimed to make the early-mid game more challenging and the end game more rewarding (but still probably challenging).

Level tiers are raised from 5, 16, 22 to 10, 20, 30.

This mod has 2 variants.

One with 3 different talents completely removed, and another with all of them included.

The 3 removed are Arresto Curse, Flippendo Curse and Petrificus Totalis Mastery. I felt there were too many talents that allowed you to add curse effects on enemies and that made it a little OP, and PTM just made things way too easy so of course it had to go!

Heavily recommend using this mod alongside Accio Masochism - Experience (Levels) and Accio Masochism - Experience (Reward Gains).

The talent trees will most likely require some tweaking in due time. I haven't had the time to get deep into a playthrough using it just yet. Please leave some feedback if you make it there before I do!


Accio Masochism - World Resources

Accio Masochism - World Resources reduces the number of resources found throughout the world (Lacewing Flies, Horklump Juice, etc.).

This mod comes in 4 different variants. 
  • 10% Less Resources
  • 25% Less Resources
  • 50% Less Resources (in the All-in-One package)
  • 75% Less Resources





KNOWN ISSUES / FYI

Known Issue: The headings in the talent tree still read 5, 16, and 22, however the requirements are now 10, 20, 30. I haven't quite figured out yet how to change those headers, but I'll keep trying to find a way. It's purely a cosmetic issue as the mod still functions as described.

Known Issue: Accio Masochism - Dodge isn't always consistent with AoE spells such as Incendio.

FYI: Before you can complete the "Potions Class" quest (very early in the game) you will need to either collect or purchase some of the materials. Normally the game provides all the materials you'll need to make the Edurus Potion but since the ingredients/quantity have been changed, this is no longer the case. You can see what materials you'll need above in the Potions spoiler section.

FYI: When doing the side quest "Spell Combination Practice 2" (very early in the game), make sure you space out the spells as far as you can (even your basic casts). The spell cooldown changes in this mod make this quest quite literally impossible if you do the combinations too quickly. If you struggle with completing this I recommend just temporarily removing the .pak file, completing the quest and adding it back after you're done.

FYI: If you've downloaded the All-in-One or one of the mods that change the experience needed to level up and then decided it's not for you, after you've removed the mod, you'll find that at the main menu the level on your save still shows the one previously lowered by the mod. Do not fret! Your level is not permanently changed, and your save is fine! The game is just reading what level you were at the point of last save. Once you load back in after the mod has been removed, the game will read from the original data, recalculate, and put you back to your original level!



UE4SS INSTALLATION

1. Download UE4SS XInput (GitHub Project - make sure it's the XInput Version)
(You can find the the file under releases on the right-hand side)

2. Extract the contents of UE4SS into: *\HogwartsLegacy\Phoenix\Binaries\Win64

3. Move the AM mod folder into the Mods folder from UE4SS: *\HogwartsLegacy\Phoenix\Binaries\Win64\Mods



INSTALLATION
Move the .pak file to
*HogwartsLegacyRootFolder*/Phoenix/Content/Paks/~mods
If the "~mods" folder doesn't exist, create it!
