For anyone who wants to experiment and solve issues with settings you are free to test settings out to optimize your game however you want, it is time consuming to do and im going to enjoy playing the game for a while.
Heres a good list of commands and what they do, you can add any of the commands from there followed by a = and your value at the bottom of the engine.ini file.

If you have an old GPU or need a quick fix for the games poor optimization this mod is the best! I'v tried mostly every "performance fix" mod and this the only one that works for me.

*HOW TO FIX SLYTHERIN DORM WINDOWS FLICKER*
    - Go to and open your Hogwart Legacy "Engine.ini" file
    - Scroll down until you find "VolumetricFog" -> change it from 0 to 1
    - Boom problem solved. You will have a little extra fog in some areas but didn't notice much of a preformance impact.

Thank you @thawtfman for creating this mod I can't play the game without it! <3

Thank you! Made my first Slytherin character today and remembered reading this comment on this mod when I saw the flickering windows, so came back to find the fix.

Thanks man, worked wonders. Can't believe how many lightning errors they tried to hide with all the fog.

Still works and looks a lot better than the foggy outside! Thx for the mod!

Deleting the Engine.ini file and reopening the game should generate a fresh copy

still a beginner with mods, but I used this mod with my first play and I absolutely love this mod. I am playing with a Slytherin character, but the windows in the common room are flashing like a strobe.  I know its a small thing, but is there anything I can do to fix this so I can keep using the mod?

I know this post is months old but I fixed this issue. You have to go into your Hogwarts Legacy "Engine.ini" and change "VolumetricFog" from 0 to 1. This fixed that issue for me. Hope this helps!

Can someone tell me why THEY lied about ray tracing-Reflection?
There is NO raytracing on ANY body of water? WTF!???!?!?

Also,  is there any way to MOD add ray-tracing-Reflection on all bodies of water (such as lakes, the sea, puddels of water.. etc) ??

    kind regards!

How do i disable every tweak except for the one that improves skin quality?

I'm only looking to make my character a little bit prettier.

Open the folder, click the view on the menu (top of the window), and check the hidden items

Go to %appdata% then go back one folder to "AppData, then click on "Local" and search for the Phoenix folder. Should be there.
