About this mod
This mod disables "Walk Speed Volumes" from the game. These are areas which, when the Player is in them, make the player walk (instead of run) by default. These are mostly used in various shops and houses. With this mod, you will be able to run freely by default (and either walk or sprint using the corresponding keys).

Compatible Game Versions
This mod has been tested and confirmed to work with the following build versions of the game:
- Build version 1126182 (9 March, 2023)
Description
- Removes Walk Speed Volumes from the game.
- Walk Speed Volumes were primarily used in shops and houses.
- Without this mod, when the Player character is inside such a volume, the player walks by default, and can only use the sprint key to run (but not sprint).
- With this mod, the Player character just keeps running by default, but can still walk or sprint by using the respective keys (exactly like when the player is not in such a volume).
- Does not permanently affect saved games: if you uninstall the mod, the game will again continue to function as it did before installing the mod.
Installation
1. Make sure to install UE4SS. There are different ways to install it, but the easiest is to follow the "Basic Installation" instructions: https://github.com/UE4SS-RE/RE-UE4SS#basic-installation. For the mod to work, it is important that you have a file named "xinput1_3.dll" (or "ue4ss.dll" for non-basic installations) in your */Phoenix/Binaries/Win64/ directory, alongside the HogwartsLegacy.exe file.
2. Install my mod such that the file */Phoenix/Binaries/Win64/Mods/NoWalkSpeedVolumesMod/Scripts/main.lua exists.
Note that I have included an enabled.txt file, so UE4SS should automatically load the mod. If you remove / don't install this file, you will instead have to edit the mods.txt file from UE4SS to make it load my mod.
(In)compatibilities
- No known incompatibilities.
Future Plans
- I will likely look into making a Blueprint-based version (as alternative to lua) soon.
