The AI in Hitman 2 is stupid. Even on the highest difficulty, people sometimes just ignore things like footsteps behind them, the sound of choking or a man in a flamingo outfit crouched down running across a hallway.
This mod aims to fix some of this. There are three versions: Normal, Manhunt and Extreme.
Normal:
- Guards search further and for longer
- People will look at the area where they saw something suspicious, even if they only catch a glimpse
- People will investigate more often, especially if they see something for a longer amount of time
- People are more persistent and will follow you if suspicious for a longer distance before giving up
- People hear footsteps from further away and the only silent way of moving is crouching and walking slowly
- Suppressed (but not subsonic) pistols are louder
Manhunt is the most realistic version and is the same as Normal, except:
- Guards now set up Manhunts, in which a large area of the map is searched, centred at your last known position
- Manhunts last much longer than normal searches and your last known location is heavily guarded, making hiding in containers almost impossible to get away with
- When the Manhunt is called off, your disguise is still suspicious and will remain that way indefinitely
Extreme increases almost everything to ridiculously high values, meaning that:
- Knocking someone out in any way will cause someone to investigate
- Trespassing is practically pointless, as every person knows exactly where you are and will immediately go to that location
- All gunshots immediately alert guards
- Everyone has precognition and will often turn around before you get the chance to subdue them
- Once alerted, guards never stop searching for the suspect

Installation:
- Place whichever version of the mod you've chosen's rpkg file in your HITMAN2/Runtime directory and rename it to the next numbered package (e.g. if the latest numbered package is chunk0patch4.rpkg, rename the mod's rpkg to chunk0patch5.rpkg)
- If you don't already have a patched packagedefinition.txt, copy the packagedefinition.txt included in the zip file to the Runtime directory and choose to replace it.
