So for whatever reason, the lighting in the sylvan campaign mission 5 was very messed up. I have now had the willpower to sift through the mess of files in the data.pak and found something! I have been able to fix the lighting in the combat scenes, and the adv map so now it actually looks like night, no more eye torture.
Install place the .h5u file in the /UserMODs folder
