About this mod

Ever felt like your Jump Pack was too simple and boxy? Like it wasn't glowy enough? Like the meters were too small and unreadable? Like that last little bit took forever to fill? Look no further than this masterpiece of engineering.

This Jump Pack model replacement aims to more accurately portray the innovative progress of 100 years of scientific advancement which allowed us to swap out an E-710 fueled, no-cooldown Jump Pack with a self-recharging, battery powered catapult.  This bad boy comes with a trimmed and lowered assembly equipped with bigger charge gauges, because bigger is always better.

Helldivers 2 LIFT-850 Patch Notes

- 01.001.104 (The BUFF)
- Cooldown reduced from 20 to 15 sec
- Stronger thrust force
- Thrust vector has been tweaked
- Will have a slightly higher jump and more forward momentum (and be unable to jump straight up anymore)

- 01.002.001
- Can now aim whilst airborne (I still can't, but setting crosshair to "visible" works enough)
- Can now stim whilst airborne
- Helldivers will no longer take fall damage when the LIFT-850 Jump Pack engages its landing thrusters

- 01.003.000 (The NERF)
- Increased break force on landing to make Helldivers less likely to ragdoll when landing (which feels so disgusting)

I'm sure I wasn't the only one frustrated with the constant ragdoll landings on the buffed Jump Pack, considering Arrowhead removed it.  However, I feel that this accidental behavior should have been treated as a feature, rather than something to be "fixed".  You see, after a lot of complaining and throwing myself around like a folding chair, I eventually learned that if you pulled back right before landing, you could actually hit the brakes enough to stick the landing.  I believe that this is an excellent Helldivers 2 moment wherein the player thinks they can just jump and land full throttle before realizing that they do in fact, have to use the brakes if they want to land on their feet.  Unfortunately, the break force is so high now that you screech to a halt mid-air to absolutely ensure that you can't ragdoll.  Goodbye expression of skill.
