Now updated and working after the July 15 update for the Control Group warbond (till another update breaks stuff. Sigh). Enjoy!
With a user's interest gained on what Talon sound mod I was using in my Kingslayer 2 and Sparrow 0-3 video, I didn't want to be distasteful and leave them hanging. Now it's here as a standalone mod.
...There really isn't much to be said about this mod. It's Magmacow's PKD sound effects for the LAS-58 Talon. The vanilla sounds are great, but for those of you looking for a lot more punch to their Talon, this might be what you're looking for.
I don't intend on doing a lot of weapon sound replacement mods—it's quite basic, my ability to piece together what clunks and clicks in the archives go together to form the full sounds in-game. But, of course, not intending on doing something doesn't mean I entirely won't. Still, keep in mind that stuff like this isn't my main focus, and I'm experimenting.
I recommend using a mod manager to install this. I can confirm that it works with HD2ModManager, because that's what I use, but I haven't tried Arsenal at all—I can't guarantee it'll work out-of-the-box with it.
