Helldivers 2 is a multiplayer game with anti-cheat measures. While a client-side cosmetic mod is unlikely to trigger those measures (and has yet to do so in over 30 hours of personal testing), modding of any sort is done entirely at the risk of the end-user and neither ToastedShoes, Kboy, Irastris, Nexus Mods, or any other entity can be held responsible for damages that may result from utilizing mods. You have been warned!

A plugin for Mod Organizer 2 has been contributed by yajneS which automates the process of resolving patch numbering conflicts! Download here: HELLDIVERS 2 MO2 Support Plugin

If you prefer to manage your mods manually, resolving the conflict is as simple as renaming each of the three files that a mod comes with to have the desired patch number (patch_0, patch_1, etc) before placing it into the game's data folder. Make sure you have file extensions enabled in Windows or you'll likely face confusion.

Unzip the downloaded archive from the Files tab and place its files in the game's data directory, located at <your steam library>\steamapps\common\Helldivers 2\data. If you already have mods with the same patch number in your game folder, refer to the PSA above.

It is not possible to adjust hitboxes, which may result in some confusion while trying to land shots. This can not be resolved, all we can ask is that you experiment and try to remember what works once found.
