Tacky sales pitch aside, this mod is fairly simple replacer of ((to my knowledge)) all Voice 2 audio with Automaton sounds, including spoken dialogue and exertions.
I was originally graced with the idea for this after coming across the Pyro Trooper I-102 Replacer by palefox ((which is a great mod, as well as what this was made to be used with)).
And more specifically, a group of commenters who voiced their desire for an audio replacer to go alongside it.
So, sharing their wish to RP as a filthy commiebot, and realizing that somehow nobody had done this already, I decided to just learn Helldivers modding and make it myself.
Way too many hours of figuring out how the tools worked and mindlessly replacing audio files later, this high treason against the democratic honor of the Helldivers was born.
Every single piece of dialogue for Voice 2 has been replaced with audio of an Automaton screaming their pneumatic lungs out, and ((I think)) all of the injury/exertion sounds have been filled in with various mechanical noises and electrical screeches.
Truthfully I only made this for my own personal use, but one of my friends convinced me it would be a good idea to upload it for the pleasure of the unwashed masses.
So here we are.
I realize that at this point I've largely been beaten to the punch by the lovely Automaton Trooper Voice Replacer by Silvertail ((who was also in the comment thread that inspired me to make this!)).
However my mod also replaces non dialogue noises ((grunts, death throes, earsplitting screams, etc)), whereas theirs does not, at least as of writing this.
Even still, both our mods are very nearly similar to the point of redundancy so, pick your poison I guess.
About bugs
This is both my first published mod and first Helldivers mod ever.
It's also fairly untested.
due to that it is incredibly likely that I've screwed something up. So please inform me if you notice anything out of sorts with it.
