About this mod
A musical overhaul that takes the triumphant soundscape of Helldivers 2 and replaces it with darker, more solemn tunes from the soundtrack of Kamen Rider Black Sun. Replaces the ship ambience, mission dropzone selection, and loadout music, amongst others. Alternate version removes the XP music so you can use other combat music mods in conjunction.

This is largely something that I made while learning how to mod the music for this game, directly inspired by free4's EVANGELION music conversion pack. Kudos to free4 for also helping me learn the ropes, too!
While I do appreciate the highly triumphant tunes of Helldivers 2's music, sometimes you want something a little more solemn, you know?
The some of the cuts are kind of lazy, I'll admit, largely because this is the soundtrack of an Amazon video series. Most of the tracks are around a minute long and weren't meant to be extended, which is why I didn't add any combat music. Some of the others last a bit too long, but that's because I couldn't find a way to cut them closer to the length of their vanilla counterparts without them sounding unnatural. In recognition of the fact that some people might want to use other combat music mods in addition to this, I've also created an alternate version that allows you to use other combat music mods in addition to this, with the caveat that you lose the custom post-extraction XP screen music, as well as the custom "Main Objective Complete" and "Secondary Objective Complete" music cues.
Additionally, given the flag raising music is found in a completely separate file from the rest of the music, I've added the flag-raising music as its own standalone download.
I'm a bit burned out working on this, so no extraction music for now. If you have any suggestions (taken from the Black Sun OST, of course), or even extended music files for me to play around with to use with either the extraction or combat music, let me know, and I might take another look at this!
