About this mod

A work in progress TF2 conversion mod that replaces music and Helldiver voices (and more coming eventually)

Changelogs
I'm a big fan of TF2 and Helldivers 2, so I figured I'd try and replace some of the soundtrack and voices with those from TF2 :D

So far eight of the nine mercs have been covered: The Soldier, The Scout, The SniperThe Medic, The Pyro, The Demoman, The Engineer and The Heavy! Pain and exertion sounds covered for each one of the voices.

And thanks to AngelTwilight's Voice Porting Script's mod, each one of the current (and future) voice replacer mods are fully modular :D meaning you can now choose which voice pack my voice mods replaces.

Both Eagle-1 and Pelican-1 also have had their lines replaced! The former by the Merc from Open Fortress and the latter by the Civilian from Team Fortress 2 Classic

The music mod replacer so far replaces some of the ship's music, hellpod descent, entering and exiting, the extraction theme, the extraction complete theme, the mission end theme and the objective complete themes.

Keep in mind that this is a WORK IN PROGRESS (enthesis on the progress) and this is technically my first ever mod so there's a chance that a few sounds, tracks and voice lines might either not work as intended, be completely silent, cut off half way or sound just a little bit off so please be kind in the comments please :D

Installation:

You'll need the Helldivers 2 mod manager to install this mod or you can unzip the archive and place the files into the game's data folder
<your steam library>\steamapps\common\Helldivers 2\data

Questions:

1: What are the voice replacers made out of exactly?
As of right now they are composed of exactly two things: Base voice lines from the game and some line mixing.
I am planning on getting most of the miscellaneous lines (Reloading lines and distance lines for example) covered by a voice actor later on once I'm done with all the voice packs at some point :D

2: When will you replace all the tracks?
That is actually a more complicated thing to do then I initially thought. So far I'm pretty happy with what I've got but until someone else figures out a way to replace the more complicated tracks such as the loadout theme and combat music of the game, It'll stay as it is for now.

3: Which other TF2 character will you make a replacer of?
Right now my eyes are set on making voice replacer for The Spy :D

4: There's already a TF2 voice replacer mod
Yes I am aware of Silvertail1140's TF2 voice replacer mod and it's a really good one :D I suggest you guys go check it out and endorse his work!
Has for how mine will be different from his voice replacers, Mine will have all the miscellaneous lines covered similarly to the base game's voice packs!

Distance, reloading, stratagems, terminal lines, ect! all will be covered in time by a voice actor and some lines may be rewritten to fit the character's personality  itself but also the world the mercs now find themselves in :D

5: What else are you planning on adding to this mod?
A LOT! I'd like to see this project as the thing that finally makes me get into texturing and 3D modeling so I'll definitely be altering those later on as the mod progresses.

Such Ideas being:

Even brawnier body type replacer for the brawny body type to better fit the heavier/rougher sounding voices of the TF2 mercs. That right now currently beyond my current skill set but I will be sketching concepts to better visualize how I want them to look like. The lean body will be replaced by a body type closer to the base brawny body to better fit the lighter sounding voices (AKA Scout, Medic, Sniper).

Retexturing the textures of the armors and other objects to have either red or blue coloring instead of yellow although this part is more of an optional thing and may come last so don't expect it anytime soon.

Changing the vanilla skull logo on most certain armors and objects with a custom Fortdiver logo that remains somewhat lorefriendly and fit seamlessly into the world whilst also sticking true to the mod's main vision.

7: I want to help:
If you guys want to help me making this mod then by all means do :D I'll be working on the sound aspect of the mod for now but if you guys are offering to help out in any other way then I'll make sure to get in contact with you by the time I'll need working on the mod's other aspects.

Recommendations:

Considering this is a big project for me to be tackling on my own, I figured it wouldn't hurt to hear some of you guy's recommendations on what to add to the mod in the future, so feel free to throw in any suggestions you guys might have :D

That's all for now! Hope you guys enjoy the mod :D
