About this mod
A basic HUD mod for Helldivers 2 to adjust some small things with the UI that I subjectively believe can be subjectively improved in subjective ways. Nothing too fancy.

I'm thinking of digging around to find the Stratagem icons, to give them a bit of a makeover and make some of them a bit more visually distinct from one another.
(For example, the Autocannon and AMR icons look kinda similar.)
Main reason why I wanna do it is to make it a little easier to identify input patterns ahead of time more easily while I'm playing Stratagem Hero, truth be told, but often enough I have a bit of trouble scanning through to find the stratagems I want before dropping in, massive increasing how long everyone else has to wait on me. 100% a skill issue, but it's a skill issue that can be addressed by more than just 'git gud.' :^)
..this is my first time making a mod.. like ever, for any video game, so while I do heartily welcome constructive criticism,
A super tiny hud mod that changes a few things, makes them look a little bit nicer/cleaner (in my opinion)
ok maybe calling it a custom hud is a bit of a stretch but cut me some slack its a collection of small miscellaneous changes to the GUI in various ways
if that doesn't count as a hud mod then I don't know what does, besides, 'fooshud' is catchy as heck
And to set expectations early, this is more of a 'for me' thing that I'm sorta publicly archiving that people may choose to use if they want. Please don't take it personally if I don't entertain a particular suggestion. It's not that it's a bad idea, it just likely doesn't fit my specific tastes. I apologize in advance.
I encourage you to use this mod with HD2MM!
Here's a list of the changes so far
Aimpoint circle has been changed to a much simpler tri-point design
The line things around the centerpoint are removed
Centerpoint changed from a dot to a diamond (Don't worry you babies, it's small enough that you probably wouldn't even notice if I didn't say so.)
Hitmarker is changed to a chevron flanking the underside of the centerpoint, creating high visibility hopefully without being quite as.. obstructive, as the base hitmarker.
The Senator's aiming triangle is replaced with a low-intrusion version, freeing visibility with the pistol, but without entirely breaking the visuals for the WASP Launcher and Spear.
LC spinners are replaced with low-intrusion graphics, without sacrificing the visual entirely.
The cute faces on the voice command wheel to describe "Thanks" and "Sorry" have been altered slightly to appear a bit happier, and a bit sadder respectively. Again, no practical reason, I just think it looks cute. I also tried to keep them reasonably respectful of the artstyle, but do tell me what you think.
The ping icon on the map's been turned into a much smaller, hopefully more accurate diamond as well, and I'm hoping it's at least reasonably accurate 'cause it's kinda hard to know where the sprite borders are on the spritesheets ;w;
The deflection icon is reduced to about a quarter of its normal size.
I don't think there's anything else right now, but further along I'd maybe considering expanding this into a larger project, especially if there's as much freedom with modding GUI textures as there seems to be.
Honestly, if there could be some sort of master template, that maybe mapped out the sprite boundaries visually somehow, it'd become super easy to make a full proper HUD mod.
..though it'd be nice if you could change colors of HUD elements too..
enough yappin I'm outta here
