About this mod

An alternate reality where the spartan program never existed and chief grew up to be a badass high ranking ODST instead. Arbiter, Johnson and some of the marines are swapped with ODSTs. I don't really like the H3 ODST Armor, especially the nonsense fingerless gloves, so I used the classic models.

Update Version 1.1

- Fixed crashing in Sierra 117. Unfortunately I had to set the dead bodies and cutscene models back to marines for this mission, but all marine ai are still ODSTs.
- Swapped the flamethrowers in Floodgate with rocket launchers.

Update Version 1.2

-Swapped flamethrower next to dead ODST with rocket (was a shotgun).
-Added shared.map and campaign.map incase Halo 4 update breaks the maps. Make sure to back up originals.


Sierra 117, Crows Nest and The Covenant: all marines are ODSTs for logical reasons. Other maps feature marines, but specific marines are swapped to be more like ODST fireteams. Sgt. marines including Johnson have red decals. Chief and Arbiter have black/no decals, because they are higher ranking or lone wolves/blackops/unique units/whatever fits the lore, and it lets them stand out. The rest have white decals.

Some missions have you start with the ODST pistol or SMG or both, when appropriate. Some ODST AI spawn with those weapons as well. In some rare occasions they can be found in other places. The normal magnum and SMG are also usable along side them in some levels. They have stats copied directly from H3 ODST and might be silent to enemies but I forgot to test it.

Originally I made the red plasma rifle function like in H2 but it was too powerful and I didn't want it to become a primary weapon so I set its stats back to normal.

The shotgun has a weird glitch where after reloading all the shells, the ODST model does some other loading animation that looks like he loads 4 extra shells. To cancel this, either fire before loading the final shell, or double tap weapon switch, and just think of it like pumping the shotgun. ODSTs shouldn't be as fast or proficient with weapons as a spartan anyway. If anyone knows of a fix please tell me.

The rocket launchers do a reload animation every time you equip them. To cancel, remember to melee or tap crouch every time you equip them. If anyone knows a fix please tell me.

Certain weapons and equipment can't be used.

The HUD has changed colors. Idk why the remaining blue didn't change but I didn't try to figure it out because I actually like the effect. And since these armors are different from the ODST game, It would make sense for the HUD to be different as well, and it makes my life easier.

CO-OP Should work but I haven't tested it.

Slightly reduced jump height.

Weapons can't zoom. I don't think there is a fix for that in third person.

Enemy vehicles can't be boarded.

If anybody knows how to make the player infectable by the flood, please tell me, it's vital for a my next project.
