MCC ODST update broke the maps. I am currently updating them as well as making them easier to port to h3/odst maps.
EVERYTHING BELOW THIS LINE IS OLD INFORMATION, IT MAY BE INCORRECT.
- This is an upgraded version of the AI spawner I made for the Halo 3 level The Covenant.
- There are now two versions - simple and expansive.
- Simple has reduced spawns (only allied AI) and less equipment.
- I'm sticking to using biped spawns for now instead of spawning characters through an effect.
- I've increased the types of AI to most everything that was in the level "The Covenant", may have missed some AI like elite spec ops as they were not in that level.
- You start with a plasma pistol (with different cross hairs and color) primary trigger will spawn a bunch of colored plasma pistols that each spawn 2 different AI.
- Secondary trigger (of the main pistol) spawns a bunch of equipment as well as more pistols capable for spawning vehicles.
- The invis with the red light is a longer lasting invis (120 seconds) with 24 uses in case you wanna have the AI fight without focusing you.
- Only the first plasma pistol (this is the main spawner) does not count towards your maximum weapon count - so you can still pick up two more weapons as usual.
Spawning AI
- I'm using the "death spawn character" feature that flood carriers use. Your plasma pistols will spawn elite bipeds (now invis) with no AI that should die instantly to most fall damage and then spawn an AI.
- All these pistols have unlimited ammo and I suggest not giving them to your AI friends.
- Since your main pistol spawns a ton of colored versions I'm not gonna list exactly what each does, however they are in somewhat of an order.
- Pistols are color coded, have cross hairs for similar type of character (Brute,Marine, etc), and the pistols spawn in ordered rows.
Things to note on the AI
- If all your AI die or you place an AI too far away from a living allied AI squad they won't have pathing.
- If all your AI die and you wait too long, even if you place more AI near where they normally fight (or where the other AI have died) they might not have pathing as they have no AI squad to join.
- I'll be releasing all the halo 3 campaign maps one at a time, including the first one I released, The Covenant.
