Turn your Forge World into a moonlight wonderland, with overhauled lighting, two choices for brightness levels, Night Vision and Flashlight armour abilities!

Night World is back! This time completely overhauled. The lightmap from the campaign map Nightfall was used to get rid of the shadows you seen in the previous versions, two new screen effects have been added, Bright Night that lets you change your Forge World to a more stylistic easy to see environment, and Realistic Night, which changes your Night World to a more realistic style, where you can only see with a Flashlight or Nightvision, which is also added with this! Both are added in the Forge Menu alongside the two new screen effects. The Flashlight armour ability points out a flashlight from your armour whenever activated, and the Night vision gives you- well. Night Vision!




HEADLIGHTS:
Headlights have been brightened, and have a much higher range compared to vanilla. This extends to any and all vehicles that have headlights. As far as I'm aware, no covenant vehicles have them. The Falcon headlights are my favourite ;)



GLOWING WEAPON DISPLAYS
Select weapon displays have a subtle glow in the dark (or really strong, I think it depends on your resolution) it's on many UNSC weapons, and a few select amount of the Covenant weapons, but not as menu.



BRIGHTNESS PRESETS
I added two screen effects to this version of Night World that allows players to choose how bright they want their Night World to be. Above you can see the Default (When the game is at Gamma 5) this is the normal look of the map, below you can see Bright Night, which is a screen effect you can place (and due to some magic sorcery, we got it syncing in multiplayer too) this makes Night World a little bit brighter, and a bit more blue and easier to see. The final one is Realistic Night, which I chose NOT to show as it's essentially just pitch black, and you can only see with the help of headlights from a vehicle, or using the newly added Flashlight and or Night Vision armour abilities.



ARMOUR ABILITIES:
This mod comes with two new armour abilities to assist you in the darkness of the night. Night vision activates well, Night vision. It's somewhat similar to the one from the campaign but without a flashlight. It makes the screen brighter with a green tinge and glow to some objects. Flashlight let's you activate a flashlight from your armour for a short amount of time. It's bright, and works best with the realistic dark preset (Try it out!)



WHERE TO FIND:
You can find all the new stuff I added through the "Other (MCC)" Menu on the very bottom. This is mostly done due to limitations by Assembly/the game engine. Putting it anywhere else would have broke the map.




- As of this moment, all impostor rocks have been stopped from rendering. This is due to their vertex colour not matching with the newly added lightmap. In theory this should actually give you a boost in framerate, but not much. It will be fixed in future once the chance presents itself.

- The flashlight is a bit wibbly wobbly




Xulah:
Xulah figured out the armour abilities for me, couldn't have done it without him. Go check his stuff out!

Slender:
Slender helped out a lot with testing in multiplayer to make sure everything synced properly.

John and Cryospareshed:
These two helped out with the weapon glow values aswell as additional testing and creative input.
