Thanks below to "Fartshit" (Great name) the way to make these folders appear is to create a forge map and save it. This will cause the game to create the directory for saved data.
How would I do this? I am an absolute computer novice and don't understand any of this but I want to take these maps and put them onto my old Xbox 360. Is there anyone that could help me do that or direct me to somewhere that I can learn to do it?
The files uploaded appeared to be modified from the original Xbox 360 files. Whenever I try to import the files to horizon or modio to edit device hashes, they both spit out errors saying the package is invalid. But my custom game modes extracted from my 360 on my desktop import just fine. Can someone upload the game files straight from horizon without modification?
Hello, can I contact you in the discord, the fact is that I need files of custom Halo3/ Reach cards, from the above you happen to have these cards, I would be grateful if you would lend a helping hand
Hello. I am trying to do this now. I modded my xbox 360 (Slim) and am trying to move custom map files to my xbox 360 (rather than to my PC for MCC). Did you ever figure out how to do this?
I'm trying to do this now. Did you ever get this figured out? I can't seem to find a repository with the ORIGINAL xbox 360 custom map files anywhere... they've all been converted to .mvar for MCC....... but I want to play them on my modded Xbox 360.
Sorry for the late reply, assuming you have solved the problem by now. Yeah it is fine to launch in either mode, since these aren't mods and cannot get you banned you can play these without issue.
Are you sure all the correct game types and maps are included? I'm just wondering if the epic maze is one of those maze maps that require a certain game mode to go along with it, like the "unbeatable maze" maze.
Unsure on what mode goes with the maze, I used to just play random infected modes on them on console. I never had the modes for those ones. From memory it's for infected
I appreciate the list you replied with to PurgeCamo, but there are more maps than available slots in Private Files and some of them don't have an obviously accompanying game type. It'd help if you could shave down the number.
What exactly do you mean? The game limits the private files to 50, just remove the maps/modes you don't want if you wanted spare room. Some modes also support several maps, keep in mind a lot of these are just from my console which may or may not have the required modes.
There are more map files than Private File slots. And I realize that a given mode supports more than one map, but some of the maps don't have an obviously matching game mode, so it's hard to know if a map has the necessary game mode for it.
You can select individual maps to install if you don't want to go over the 50 limit in game. I put a list below showing most modes/maps. Some maps don't actually have a mode at all and are there for messing around on.
Castle Wars - All the castle maps Cat & Mice - Cat & Mice Cops & Robbers - All prison maps Darknessfall - LosT D-Day - D-Day Dig - To China Donkey Kong - Donkey Kong Drive or Die - Drive or Die Duck - Duck Hunt Fat Kid - Close the door, 4 levels and Chubby arena Frogger - Frogger Garbage Man - Trash Compactor Ghostbusters - Hide/seek town Gladiators - Colosseum Griffball - GBWL09 and Griffbox Halo - The Halo, Halo 2 I am Legend - I am Legend maps Ice Cream Man - Kiddie lane and kids go down Jenga - All Jenga Maps Left4dead - Left4dead minigolf - all golf maps nazi zombies - nachtderuntoten and der reise Obby - Obby maps Pball - Paintball Shark - Jaws Skyland - Skycastle 1 and Godzilla attack Stairs2heaven - Stairway to heaven Teacher - Classroom To hot - The oven Tournament - Tournament
So the Halo3 folder was not in that directory so I added it and pasted the folders you made in there and it worked. But I cant get my own to work. I have done this in reach with no difficulty. I made sure to add the .mvar extension but they just won't show up
I don't have a LocalFiles folder. I'd make one myself but the next folder in the readme is just labeled as <FolderNameHere> so I'm not sure what it would be called if I had it.

If anyone can confirm 100% let me know
Doing so would probably require using horizon or modio to change account hashes etc. though

The username and the numbers would be completely different for you as I think they are account related?
Also is this on the steam or microsoft store version of the game? I have tested mine with the Steam version
