Welcome to The Covenant - Three Gates, my first Halo 3 mod! This project began back when Halo 3 was still in Insider Beta and now it is finally ready!
Like my Halo 2 mods, this mod aims to expand the variety of allies available in the mission by adding more Elites, including several Elite ranks that were cut from the game, and some 'secret' opportunities to get different sets of allies. This mod is still relatively simple but as I learn more about the capabilities of Halo 3's modding tools then there will be updates to this mod to add more features. For now enjoy a modded version of The Covenant that is every Sangheili fan's dream!

List of Changes

- Altered Elite armor colourations to add brighter armour colours and more varieties of rank
- Added far more Elite spawns throughout the mission
- Added several opportunities for unique ally spawns including a Zealot and allied Grunts
- Some Elites now Dual-wield Plasma Rifles
- The Arbiter can now trade weapons with the player during the third tower battle
- Allied Elites are stronger

Installation Instructions

- Installing this mod is simple. Navigate to the root folder for Halo: The Master Chief Collection - usually in Program Files > Steam > steamapps > common, and go to the folder called 'halo 3'
- From there, open the folder called maps - this contains all of the map files for Halo 3
- Next, BACK UP THESE FILES if you haven't already, just in case
- Then simply move the 100_citadel.map file that is this mod to replace the one in the maps file, and play Halo: MCC with Anti-Cheat disabled
- Now boot up the mission The Covenant on the difficulty of your choice, using whichever Skull modifiers you like.
