Hi, I wanted to ask you if it's possible to play coop campaign with a friend if you have this downloaded. People seem to always refer to "don't play online", and I don't want to assume they only mean competitive multiplayer. So if I start the launcher from steam with anti-cheat of and my buddy starts with it on, are we able to make a lobby together and continue a campaign session. Or will I be royaly fucked over?
i have done this in the past. so out of experience, yes you can. when you have anti-cheat disabled, it locked you out of public multiplayer, you will still only have access to campaign and custom games, maybe forge (idk haven't played it yet). you will be banned if you have are using items you don't have unlocked, so when you wanna play public, just switch back to whatever items you have unlocked and replace the files. since anti-cheat is off, you will not unlock achievements.
At worst it would cause a crash rather than a ban,, but have your friend launch with EAC off too just to be sure. With it off you just cant join matchmade games so customs, campaign, forge, firefight etc will all work. I've heard that the customisation might be clientside however, so your mate might not see it.
