CURRENTLY BROKEN DUE TO HALO 3 UPDATE - THIS MOD WILL BE PLAYABLE AGAIN WHEN A PATCH / CONVERSION TOOL BECOMES AVAILABLE v1.0 - Enhanced the first Arbiter mission with more Spec Ops allies, diversified Heretic weapons and more. Alternatively, play as Heretics against the Covenant in the Heretic Edition of The Arbiter Enhanced!
- Requirements
- Permissions and credits
That is where this mod comes in. Stealth is still perfectly viable if you want to play the level that way, but now your ally ranks have been bolstered with more Elites and Grunts so your squad actually resembles a full Spec Ops team instead of the ragtag crew you are given in the original game. On higher difficulties the number of allies you receive will increase, as they are far more likely to die. Also, ally reinforcements have been refreshed so even if your initial team are wiped out, you will still receive some powerful allies later on.
The new 'Heretic Edition' of The Arbiter Enhanced has just dropped, this version swaps Heretics and Covenant so you play as Sesa Refumee and a band of brave Heretics fighting a Gas Mine filled with Covenant Special Operations forces and their Sentinel allies. Fully functional in both Classic and Anniversary graphics, Heretic Edition of The Arbiter Enhanced lets you experience this beloved mission from a whole new perspective!
The Arbiter: Enhanced Installation Instructions
- Installing this mod is simple. Navigate to the root folder for Halo: The Master Chief Collection - usually in Program Files > Steam > steamapps > common, and go to the folder called 'halo 2'
- From there, open the folder called h2_maps_win64_dx11 - this contains all of the map files for Halo 2
- Next, BACK UP THESE FILES if you haven't already, just in case
- Then simply moves the gasgiant.map file that is this mod to replace the one in the maps file, and play Halo: MCC with Anti-Cheat disabled
- Now boot up the mission The Arbiter on the difficulty of your choice, using whichever Skull modifiers you like.
