Halo Reach's iconic pelican design, now in Halo 4. Not just a simple port, this mod contains numerous new features and upgrades, making use of all the new vehicle features that H4 provides. From dynamic physics doors to proper interior lighting, this is the best pelican I could possibly make!

Anyone has permission to use the tags for their own mods, but please credit me!

Features:
  • Full ported Reach model and animations.
  • 9 custom "gib" parts that give a convincing destruction effect when the vehicle is destroyed.
  • Enhanced materials using H4's new material system and custom shader templates.
  • The first modded vehicle to feature per-object scripting. What does this mean? It means that there are buttons on the vehicle to manually control the cargo door, and the pilot controls the landing gear with the melee button.
  • High accuracy, fully custom physics model. Everything just feels right to interact with.
  • The first modded vehicle to feature dynamic physics on the cargo door, landing gear, and engines/wings! The physics moves with the animation, so you can't fall through the door when it is closed like you do in previous engines!
  • High quality vehicle lightmap. Provides nice dark interiors with good lighting.
  • The first modded vehicle to feature the use of vehicle airprobes, which gives objects such as characters that are in the interior correct dynamic lighting!
  • The Reach-style cannon, which fires in bursts.
  • New cannon sounds to replace the horrible H4 one.
  • All 12 seats fully usable by players and marine/spartan AI. That's 10 rear passenger seats, plus the co-pilot (first person!) and pilot seats.
  • Completely re-worked engine effects for H4.

Tags Installation:
  • Download the tags zip file. Drag and drop the "tags" folder into your H4EK directory. If you do not wish to overwrite your storm_masterchief animation graph, skip this file. It is required to use the seats however. Instead of replacing, you may wish to open this tag and copy the relevant modes from the "Mode n State Graph" block into your own animation graph to fix this.
  • The tags can be found in "H4EK\tags\objects\vehicles\human\pelican"
  • If you wish to see the custom HUD strings, open Foundation and open "H4EK\tags\ui\hud_globals.user_interface_hud_globals_definition". In the "String References" block, add a new entry and point it to "H4EK\tags\ui\strings\reach_pelican.multilingual_string_list". Save and close the tag.
  • The rear door is scripted and as such you will need to compile scripts in Sapien for it to work. In Sapien you will also need to Run Game Script" for it to work.
