I did not touch the volume of the music since 343 had just fixed that issue for us in the Season 8 update. I have made a similar mod to this before but now with the recent H2 mod tools, things are much easier. I was able to change all the music and sound effects for all the missions within just a few hours. If there are anything I might have missed definitely make a list and let me know and I will try to update when I can.
HOW TO INSTALL: Make sure you backup your Halo 2 map files located in "steamapps\common\Halo The Master Chief Collection\halo2\h2_maps_win64_dx11". If you forget to back them up you can just verify the game files and Steam should redownload the original files.
Once you download the maps make sure you use 7zip to unzip the folder and then just throw the maps into the same location as mentioned above. (steamapps\common\Halo The Master Chief Collection\halo2\h2_maps_win64_dx11)
Since these are just audio changes I believe you can still launch the maps and play them even if you do see the message saying there is an anti-cheat error. Just know you may not be able to make progress in challenges if you see that message come up. Or just launch the game with anti-cheat off.
