These are Halo 1 pistol tags ported to Halo 2 with accuracy being the main goal. The original animations, sounds, bitmaps and more have been ported over 1:1 to Halo 2. I have included optional MCC HD H1 textures that you can use for a more modern look. I have also included a MP test map on lockout (start a slayer gametype with map default starting weapons) and a SP test map on Outskirts. These maps feature their respective pistol versions. Have fun and enjoy! If you need an AR to pair the pistol with you should use VKMT's AR port.
Installation: Drop the "tags" folder in your H2EK directory (located at C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\H2EK).
HD shaders: 1. Open "pistol.render_model" and "fp.render_model" (which is located in the FP folder) in Guerilla 2. Hit edit and enable Expert Mode 3. Navigate to the "Materials" block in both render_model tags 4. Replace the "silver" and "black" shaders with the "silver" and "black" shaders in the "hd/shaders" folder 5. Save both render_model tags
MP vs SP tags: The MP pistol is set up for 3 shot kills in multiplayer, with a h2 network model. Not having the weapon setup for h2's network model led to extreme host advantage and bad shot registration. The SP pistol is balanced within h2's sandbox, but is close as possible to its original CE performance. The SP pistol also does not use the h2 network model, and is more accurate to its CE counterpart. Feel free to tweak the tags to your needs, but I wouldn't recommend playing MP with the SP pistol and vice versa
