Installation

  • In your Steam library, go to the "properties" settings in the little cogwheel:

and add the text "-condebug" to the launch options:

  • Download and extract the zip file of this mod somewhere you will find it again and go to that directory.
  • Start the mod program "OWOAlyx.exe". For the first setup, you will have to select the directory where Half-Life Alyx is installed via the "Browse..." button. If you are unsure where the game is installed, your Steam library can also tell you by clicking on the little cogwheel and going to "Manage -> Browse local files". The installation directory will contain just one "game" folder. The mod will remember this, so it is only needed once.
  • If you haven't installed the mod in the past, click on "Install mod" just below "Browse...":

  • Start up your OWO mobile app and connect to your OWO skin, launch the "OWOAlyx.exe" mod programm, and click on "Auto-Connect". The mod will search for the OWO app in your local network and automatically connect. Then you can just start up Half-Life Alyx like you normally would and feel the in-game sensations.
  • Only optional: If you want to have several OWO skins in the same network, or for other reasons would like to connect via manual IP address (sometimes firewalls can filter the UDP search of OWO), you can just enter the IP address the OWO app tells you in the field and press the "Connect to IP:" button.

If you have any issues or suggestions, the best way to contact me is to ping me on the OWO Discord: https://discord.gg/QfZjHwfhPQ

Adjustments
You can adjust the sensations you feel in the game simply by editing the ".owo" files in the "OWO" subfolder with the Sensation Creator.
