Instructions to properly install this mod using Modloader:
1. Install modloader to your GTASA directory.
2. Download this mod.
3. Create a new folder and name it as per your wish (I named it Dark Knight Begins).
4. Copy every file and folder from the mod after extracting except for cleo.asi, gta_sa.exe, stream.ini, vorbisFile.dll, and vorbishooked.dll (assuming you already have updated versions of these files) to the folder you just created.
5. Extract SoundFX.rar and copy the SoundFX folder to your created folder.
Now start a new game and play with this mod. As a side note, you don't start from the beginning of the game as it has a set of scripts in play. Instead, it starts with Cesar calling you for a shipment and whatnot. It also has a horrible font that overlaps the characters. However, if you want to play it from the very beginning without the font and the script, here are some bonus instructions:
B1. Remove the script folder under the data folder.
B2. Remove the fonts.txd file under the models folder.
Enjoy. Hope it helps anyone returning to this mod.
Update 1: So the music files does affect the orignal files. So in this case you should have a backup of original game files, extract the files from there and replace them in your current game directory. Basically doing the same process (if you actually understand it) in reverse, you'll have the sounds back.
Also don't use this mod with any skin mod, at least the one containing .img, I'm starting to learn that, any mod that contains .img files of any kind can create conflict with other mods. First I thought it was the "Rosa Project Reborn" causing problems but later found that it was just a CJ skin mod containing a player.img file. Sometimes it's clear to find these like gta3.img, player.img etc, but sometimes it's not.
Moreover, this mod doesn't have a single .img file, but it doesn't do well will with other skins overlapping it, at least when using it fully, the priority setting in modloader doesn't help as I read somewhere that modloader prefers ".img files" over ".img folders", that's why you'd have no option but to disable the mod completely.
It would've been great if the modder made a version of the suit without, he did a good job, but those flying pointy things from batman's gloves were weird, which probably could've been avoided without a non-cape but still having the mask version.
So I was finally able to use this mod, I was able to use it before, but I didn't even knew myself, because of the lack of instructions.
So here are some Important ones, you should keep in mind: 1. ALWAYS start a new game. When you try to load the save, the game would either crash or CJ would be half bald, sking bugged. 2. There'll be a tank under the bridge on grove street, waiting for you all the time. 3. Also a jet on top of Sweet's house. 4. You can access the skins in CJ's closet. DO NOT wear the Cop suit, the game would crash (Everytime, with or without other mods enabled).
I think AT LEAST he should've mentioned about starting a new game, but I digress.
The things he mentioned, I tested those as well. I saw the bat signal, went to bat cave (No, your game map is working fine, it's just the "hidden" bat cave in the 4th dimension of the game :'-) and the bat mansion as well.
I liked the bat signal, liked the cave the most, like I said, he didn't even mentioned some of the good things, like the jetpack, I didn't like the motorcycle, it looked weird and handling was weird as well. The bat mansion, yeah it looked cool, but that's about it, you find a lambo there, that's the only good thing, didn't find any cave there. The building itself had lots of dining room and bathrooms, I was looking for Alfred but couldn't find him :-D , the stairs were like at 70-80 degree angle, too weird, you'd have to see it to believe it.
It's all cool, but it sucks that you can't use it during a normal game. Maybe by disbaling the data folder? Btw, if you used 'modloader' you can disable a folder by putting a space and a period infront of it. For ex: folder name - "dta" disabled folder name - " .dta". I also liked the sounds, because when driving batmobile, it disabled the screechy sound when braking, which made it even more real. I'd like to use the sounds, but I think it messes with original files or maybe it doesn't? I don't think it does. But only the modder can answer these questions, and he didn't answered back to my previous reply. So IDK if he'll reply this time.
As you can see, there are a lot of things he forgot to mention. I want to try some stuff as well. I'll update this post, after I do. But don't rely on me, try things on your own, and reply here if you discover something useful.
PS (for those who made this far): If you want to get rid of that hedious font, delete - models\fonts.txd If you want to get rid of the hud - delete models\hud.txd. I was first gonna ask about this to modder, but I discovered these on my own, you can too. So keep trying. But do all this in Modloader folder, so you can clean any mess you create, easily. ALSO, this goes without saying, but always keep a backup of your original files. Edit: I've been trying for past 15 minutes to make emojis work, to no avail, even with emoticons enabled, this is trash.
You did not include the img tool. I have no idea what "GENERL" file you kept talking about when installing SoundFX.
I knew about the img tool so I already had that. But with the whole SoundFX thing, you even confused me, so I gave up on that entirely.
You know these are the reasons, newbies don't get into modding, first they'd get scared by these long instruction txt files, then they try to understand it but get confused because modder didn't provided proper information, especially in your case when you can't take help of modloader and have to change the original files, which is already a scary process.
I've seen worse where they don't mention anything at all, but you're not that, still not good either.
You should also mention on the description tab here to read the instruction file first before going commando, but you didn't do that once. It's a shame cause this looks like a promising mod.
I tried with and without. It didn't worked out in both cases. Did you made the text all messed up on purpose? It becomes hard to read mission name and date & time on save files, which makes you confuse on which one's the latest or which one to load, I hope you knew that. You can't use modloader for the audio stuff so... yeah.
Even going the full manual route, the game crashed on me, IDK if it was a "fix file" or a "texture mod" that caused the problem, but I didn't try again after doing all that work.
Edit: So I tried again, game still crashed, once it loads with bugged skin, cj half bald, new game doesn't work - cj is thrown into grove street, he gets a call from cesar I think mexican guy, gf icon is available, I didn't tried anything else because I wanted to see batman not just bruce wayne's face.

(it makes things SO MUCH easier)
i've modded the game both manaully and with modloader, manaully is a pain. w/ modloader it's far more easy)
