Old Ways
How would a general player respray a car in GTA Online to a custom color?  A player would have to select the color first (probably from some picture), pick a hexcode, edit the Chrome browser page and replace the crewColor value with his own...  just to reveal that this color is rejected by socialclub, so a player has to adjust the alpha component. Overall, this takes too much steps and can become annoying.

I got tired of this, that's why I made this program.

Rapid Respray
This is not a mod and it doesn't even require a GTA copy, it works with socialclub and should benefit the console players as well.
The goal of this program is to simplify and speed up the process of setting the crew color in the context of the vehicle resprays.

Launching
If you are not able to launch the program (it's starting but closing instantluy), please update your videodrivers and share your GPU and Operation System details.

How to use?
You can set the color manually using the color control.

Or you can pick the color of any pixel from the screen. To do that - press the right mouse button at the "Primary Color" control and move the mouse to the vehicle at the picture your are interested in.

By default the tool automatically converts (downgrades) the color for the postprocessing shaders, so the color you pick should more or less match the actual color you see in game.

When ready press "Set This Color (Change Crew)" to send the result color directly to socialclub.

This program uses cookies and the crew changing request template, if you launching it for the first time - you need to
  • sign up into your socialclub account using the integrated browser, set the checkbox - "keep me signed in"

  • change the color of the crew that you use to respray your cars - set ANY color (it's completely irrelevant) and press save.

The program will save both the integrated browser cookies and the request template into the folder "CACHE_DELETE_THIS_PRIOR_SHARING".
You only have to do it once, the tool will then automatically pick up the cookies every time you launch it.

Now press "Set This Color", go to the homepage of your crew and ensure that the color is actually changed. If it didn't - try to restart the the program.
Generally, if the program doesn't show any errors - then the crew color is successfully changed.

You are now ready to respray the car in game!

Futher Work
The car preview is a placeholder and doesn't represent anything close to the actual in-game render.

To make a PROPER preview I need to completely recreate the part of the game engine responsible for the vehicle rendering.
That's what I'm doing right now.

I started from the final post processing stage (prior the UI draw) and slowly go backwards stage-by-stage, pass-by-pass to the initial mesh rendering.
