Sorry guys, updated now but for future reference of everyone, All game updates break this mod it seems. The problem is gameconfig.xml every time.
A quick fix is to restore the updated gameconfig.xml. You'll only lose a few traffic & population changes, until I post an update. So take gameconfig.xml from update.rpf and put it in your mods/update.rpf, to overwrite mine.
If you don't like the driving, you have options: 1) Install alternative or original handling.meta file, after installing this mod Assuming you are using OpenIV and "mods" folder to preserve the original files and online play capability, you can get the original from Grand Theft Auto V\update\update.rpf\common\data Otherwise you will have to source it elsewhere
2) Always delete handling.meta from the mod files of this mod before you install it
Note: handling.meta is the file which controls how vehicle driving behaves.
Installed openIV, used the mods folder and install all the tools in ASI Manager, i launch the game and get an corrupted data error, if i uninstall the mod all works fine... any help?
did everything right with no other mods installed, but it crashes my game right after i click story mode and it begins to load, even after replacing the gameconfig.xml file.
Yeah man this mod is broken. I installed it on a CLEAN game (of course with the basic requirements) and GTA asks to verify the files every time. I've even taken the time to put the files in their designated areas manually in the mods folder, still the same thing. Tried to change to config, still the same issue.
I don't suppose you've ported the cop motorcycle to be used in game by the main characters? Been wanting to keep that thing since day one and the livery they have on the buyable (online) version is hideous.
DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS MOD. Despite its attempt, and albeit semi-success in some areas (like most vehicle handling changes and the awesome police adjustments), it completely breaks airplanes, dirt bikes, civilian aggressive interactions, and the ENB (or whatever) color/contrast edjustments.
Air planes will not take off or slow down, period. The acceleration and deceleration changes, and aerodynamic adjustments render planes 100% unusable. Especially applicable to sea planes. If you do manage to get a plane in the air, you cant land it. It takes about (and im not exaggerating) about 10 in-game miles to slow a plane down enough for a super sketch, high-speed landing. 100% broken. Its an entire side of the game that is now ruined and frustrating.
Dirt bikes skid out with .5 to 1 second of full joystick input. You cannot turn a dirt bike unless you feather the throttle and brake perfectly. And i mean perfectly... if not... you skid out, turning 90 degrees sideways and losing all your momentum. Its so weird.
Civilians are annoying as absolute ass now. Most carry a tazer (by my accounts about 50-75% of them). If you aggro them in the least, they will stun lock you with said tazer. You cannot move untill they decide to slowly back away or die by some random and rare act of the GTA universe. You're fucked, and forced to reload a save.
Contrast is way too high. Night time is so black you literally cant see the ground. Its just absolute black. Im usually forced to spawn a vehicle with Menyoo, juts for the headlights, or advance the time of day.
Youve been warned. This mod, despite its effort, fails in just the right places to break the game. I dont know why it was so heavily endorsed.. maybe updates wonked it out...
Agreed. I also tried installing the mod without the updated handling.meta as stated in the sticky and the game crashes on load unless I also include the modded handling.meta. Sucks because the mod seems like it would so close to being good.
Hello. Love the mod, it's amazing and it's great work, but I have a problem. There's a weird stuttering or wobbling effect, I have no idea what causes it, but I'd like to resolve it. I've clipped a short video of how it looks because it's hard to explain. The effect is only there when GTA V 5.5 is installed. (Also there's the problem of planes and most off-road vehicles being broken, but I'm sure you're aware already from the other comments.)
Hey , I watched the video but I don't know what you mean? The way motion looks when you are turning? Or are you talking about a heat haze type thing maybe?
