Allows you to hold down the A button to Sprint for Gamepad instead of tapping.

This uses the Antimicro software to send the keyboard key "Left Shift" when you press the 'A' button on your XBOX controller since in-game when using a keyboard allows you to hold down "Left-Shift" to run instead of tapping.


Installation Steps:

1. Download and run Antimicro 2.23 (portable version is fine) Link
2. Download the gamepad profile in this Mod and load it into Antimicro. The config file binds XBOX controller 'A' button to keyboard key "Left-Shift".
3. In-game GTA IV options menu rebind the keyboard button for Helicopter Shoot Secondary action: Controls -> Keyboard/Mouse options -> Custom Mappings -> Helicopter -> "Shoot Secondary" to a spare key binding (I used the 'M' key). Since the default binding in-game also uses left-shift to avoid conflict / accidental activation of the Helicopter shoot secondary action.
4. Make sure in-game GTA IV options "Controls -> Keyboard/Mouse options -> Always Sprint" is set to Hold (default setting)

Notes:

1. Make sure Antimicro is running when play the game.
2. Sometimes the button prompts in-game will show Keyboard icons instead of Gamepad icons because it thinks you switched to using a keyboard. You can move the analog sticks to make the button prompts switch back to Gamepad icons while playing.
3. Make sure keyboard binding for Sprint is set to "Left-Shift" (default setting).
