Why does version 2.5 make my ground very blurry when version 2.4.1 has no problem?

No worries! 2.5 had an issue with Anisotropic Filtering not being set properly. I can confirm that it's fixed in 2.5.1.

Doesn't work. Had the game running decently before this mod. After dragging over the d3d9.dll and the dnxf.con files over - the game now things I'm back to having 512Mb VRAM, whereas it recognised I had 10Gb of VRAM.

Now I remember why I stopped bothering with this mod.

I already said this to another user here in the comments, but:

Right-click the game in your Steam library, go to Properties, and add the following as launch option arguments:

      -availablevidmem 6144 -nomemrestrict -norestrictions

      For other people reading this:
      The 6144 is for 6GB.
You get the value by multiplying 1024 by the amount of VRAM you have.
So if you've got 4GB of VRAM, you would want to use 4096 instead.

Okay - I didn't know that - something like that would be really awesome to put on the front page just as a quick FYI to people, instead of sifting through pages of comments.

I'll give it a try now.

Edit: Well, I will admit, it worked and my gosh, the stuttering is pretty much gone now. I'm going to try and test playing this game at 7680x2160. See if I can keep it above 60fps. Thanks.

Hello sorry to bother you but this fix does not work for me. I have a 10gb 3080 so I copied and pasted the same line into steam launcher with 10240 as the number and still says I only have 512mb.

I also tried it with 6gb number you posted also, still 512mb

Is there anything else I can try?

Of course! It might even work with other DX9 games. Just make sure to use the appropriate shaders or build your own if there are no corresponding pre-built ones.

How does one build their own?

You build your own shaders by simply playing the game. The stutters you will get while playing occur due to shader compilation. The compilation is done automatically.

This works really well for me but I keep having an issue where the game will just lock to 24fps and I have to alt tab or go in and out of the puase menu to force it back to 60fps.

    What could be causing this?

I don't understand why there are no shadows at night when i use this mod. Does it disable them or something? How can i re-enable them?

That's not related to this mod. FusionFix has Night Shadow options.

This mod causes car deformation to restore to normal upon alt tabbing for some reason.

Edit: Nevermind, restarted the game and its fixed now, weird.
