This is a 1.0 version of the Virtual Reality tileset for Gruntz, a game by Monolith Productions (1999). In its current state, the tileset completely replaces the Gruntz In Space tileset (world 8).

All of the original levels should work properly, as well as the majority of custom levels. The tileset adds new tiles and EyeCandy objects useful for level designers. There is a test level and a template level included too.

Download Gruntz Rez Patcher from here:

Extract the EXE file of the Gruntz REZ Patcher anywhere you like - it will work regardless of its location.

(!!!!!! IMPORTANT !!!!!!) Make a backup copy of your Gruntz.REZ file!

Open the Gruntz REZ Patcher.

Go to "Options" -> "Change backed up REZ" and select the backup copy of the Gruntz.REZ file you previously created.

Go to "Options" -> "Change output REZ path" and select the original Gruntz.REZ file in the main folder.

Take the GRP file from the Virtual Reality ZIP file and drag and drop it into the "Patches to apply" menu of the Gruntz REZ Patcher.

Make sure the Virtual Reality is selected on the list. Click Apply and then Patch.

And done! The tileset should work properly in-game now.
