All these options can be changed or turned off (game default values will be used).

Buiding "anywhere" notes:
If you want to build on object with "Invalid surface", put your aim on it first and press configured hotkey (option name - EnableBuildHotKey and EnableBuildHotKeyModifier), by default it is Alt+NUM_5 (numpad). There should notification appear "Build enabled" on screen.
Mod look object to modify under mouse cursor. Usually (when not in menu), mouse cursor is in center of screen and hidden. But some times game can move it a bit, so it can happen that you're pointing your crosshair on object and trying to enable build on it, but nothing happens - that is because mouse cursor not in center position. To solve this you either can open/close inventory (without moving mouse) or open pause menu, put mouse cursor over object you want to eneble build on and press configured hotkey (while in pause menu).
Mod enables build on "Invalid surface" by changing object's physical material to default (landscape). This change will apply to all object in the world with same physical material, so you will be able to build on them too. This change will not be saved to save game, but will persist between reloads, until you fully close the game (exit to desktop).
You may notice material change by hitting changed object (visually object will not differ) - OnHit particles and sound will be changed. If you want to restore original material - press configured hotkey (option name - RestoreMaterialsHotKey and RestoreMaterialsModifier), by default it is Alt+NUM_6 (numpad).
