Bethesda also mentioned that their current focus is on "code" fixes, with "data" fixes (such as to quests) waiting until January at the earliest. You can also read their non-apology for patch 1.2:
We all know this is a huge game, and everyone has a different experience. We’ll continue to do everything we can to make the game better and better for as many people as possible every day. We’ve also realized that with the millions upon millions of people playing Skyrim, we need to treat our updates with greater care. If we get too aggressive trying to fix a minor issue, we run a risk of breaking something larger in a game like this.

Also, 1.3 did not fix the 'if the dead dragon twitches, no dragonsoul for you' bug.
Now let's hope we don't need a fix for the fix of 1.2.
"As much as I agree with you, I really with you didn't feel the need to bring politics into the discussion."
This topic IS political. Because Bethesda aren't the only ones who behave... well, the way they behave. Just think of companies like Ubisoft or EA for example. The topic is: Is it fair, ok or even justified to make the customer undergo broken, bug-ridden Software while making him pay a huge amount of money? Wouldn't it even be more clever to treat the customer well? Or at least less ignorant?
In our world, every company is set to making money in a small amount of time. To have proper figures for the last business quarter. Add to this the tight release schedules for software in the competitive run. "Customer? F**** the customer, we need proper figures. And a good PR management for a good reputation."
It's the profit which is in power.
But: We customers should be the ones in power, and we should be aware of that, no matter what we buy. It is OUR money we spend, and it's OUR nerves which Bethesda and other software companies trample upon.
Meanwhile it's wednesday and still nothing heard of the patch-fixing patch. And we do not know if the incremental update really fixes the 1.2-bugs or if it makes it all worse.
This, at least for me, is the last chance that I give a game producer. If the whole debacle isn't fixed until the end of this week, I will NEVER AGAIN buy a game on its release date, and I'm not sure if I will buy games ever again. Perhaps I will pick up a game from time to time from the rummage tables when the hype is over and the worst bugs are REALLY fixed.
I am fed up with this s#*!, really. And I don't only mean Bethesda, but I mean them, too. This Skyrim-Creation-Kit-SteamPatch-Patch1.2-desaster, the whole thing that went on since 11.11., was the last straw. I've done with that.
One former games buying customer in germany less.

Yes, support good games. Buy them. And Skyrim is such a game, undoubtedly.
BUT, DEAR SOFTWARE DEVELOPERS, WHAT ABOUT YOU SUPPORTING HONEST CUSTOMERS IN RETURN instead of trying to f*** them with broken patches and copy protection patronising?
