*Note* Likely not downloadable on here (yet) until a manual review. Download from the mirrors instead.

This mod/pack contains over 4,500 texture upscales. Also includes texture and dialog speed fixes that the developers haven't bothered fixing since release. Requires Special K to use the upscaled texture pack. You can use global or local for this to work. I personally use the local install for this game.

Upscaled textures include:

Characters
NPCs
Enemies
Magic
World (Fields, Towns, Dungeons, Indoors, Etc.)
HUD/UI
Character Portraits (Still needs improving.)

Fixes Installation:

To apply the fixes for the game, move the "content" folder into the main game directory and let it replace the current files. If any issues arise (for some odd reason), then go into the "original" folder and use the "content" folder inside to restore everything.

Special K Installation Instructions (Global):

Step 1: Download and install Special K (SKIF) here: https://wiki.special-k.info/en/SpecialK/Tools

Step 2: Run Grandia II through the launcher first to create the game profile in Documents\My Mods\SpecialK\Profiles. Use the LAA patch in the Special K menu. If the game crashes on start up, then it should auto-patch this.

Step 3: Place the SK_Res folder inside the game profile folder (likely named GRANDIA II HD Remaster) and either through the .ini or the Special K menu in-game under texture management, activate the "IgnoreNonMipmapped/Ignore Textures Without Mipmaps" option. Restart the game.

The game and textures should be working as intended now. Any other features/tools in the Special K menu is up to you to use.

Special K Installation Instructions (Local):

Step 1: Download the Special K DLLs from here: Releases · SpecialKO/SpecialK · GitHub

Step 2: Rename the SpecialK32.dll to dxgi.dll and put it in the main game directory and run the game as you normally would first. This will create the .ini file in the game directory. Use the LAA patch in the Special K menu. If the game crashes on start up, then it should auto-patch this.

Step 3: Place the SK_Res folder inside the main game directory and either through the .ini or the Special K menu in-game under texture management, activate the "IgnoreNonMipmapped/Ignore Textures Without Mipmaps" option. Restart the game.

The game and textures should be working as intended now. Any other features/tools in the Special K menu is up to you to use.
