I reworked the Winter Mod for Gothic 2 quite a while ago, an mud-freak made it snow with Ninja. You have to install Ninja to make it snow. It doesn't work in combination with the D3D11-Renderer. This patch is compatible with any mod and you can enjoy the game in your mothertongue if you want to. Here is a video showcasing it:
