Has modding seemingly died for this game? It seems like most mods are reskins, and any old mods that actually changed and tried to improve the game no longer work due to an update. While im sure you can backport the game to play with these mods that make the experience a tiny bit more enjoyable, your losing out on performance upgrades, new game modes, and level caps. Unless people step up and find a way to edit the game again like before I'm sure the modding scene will die. So many mods were released that touched up on things that should have been patches in game. Faster bat cycle, slightly faster knighthoods, better stealth hitboxes for take downs, less stiff controls, and there was so much potential too. One thing i continued to hope we would learn in modding is how to edit level scaling to make the game more challenging or edit encounters so that they were challenging and less just spam dodge wait your turn and counter attack. Not to mention the possiblilty of 4 way free roam if mods were still being done. But lately, it seems like the game has been abandoned. Not just by the mod team, but the developers themselves. Just a cheap buck in the wind for a painfully unfinished and mediocre expereience playing itself to be a batman esk experience and delivering a painfully mediocre story, gameplay that does not seem designed for multiple players, and painfully bad marketing making us all thing we could play 4 player free roam only to be locked into 5 different maps and 5 different gamemodes for this 4 player beat em up gamemode which means we play each map and gamemode roughly 25 times before the actual gamemode has no use. Simply put, if modding does not become more common for this game, it will forever be a game that will just sit in peoples steam library and do nothing.

check the steam charts for Gotham knight's vs arkham knight which came out 8 years ago. arkham knight litearlly has more players laying the game than gotham knights which came out in 2022.
the developers of gotha mknights clearly didnt care about making a good video game like the developers of rocksteady. they were trying to make easy money from a live service game and they decided no when they saw avengers
so yeah this game is dead so why would the mod developers and owners bother updating their mods or making new ones when no body even plays this game lol. so theres you answer. no one cares about gotham knights expect 8 year old kids lol.
reguar men who are adults with a girlfriend and a nice life arent gonna play this shitty game

I'm compulsively modding the sake of modding all the fucking time.
Once in a while I spend a bit of effort releasing one.
Why?
Because:
If someone plays my mod, that means I increased someone's enjoyment.
If someone doesn't play my mod, that means I have not affected their enjoyment.
In other words, it's a zero-loss choice.
It's not a job... and I keep mentioning that to people who treat me as a contractor.
So you're stuck reverting if you need gameplay.
Even reskins I'm not doing for the updated version because it is seriously not worth a mere reskin. Because a mere reskin means porting all the Bat parts out of Gotham Knights to Blender, then porting all of those parts back into the game, JUST so you can relocate a mesh from one folder to another.
Besides... The game devs USE the recipe system. For me to open Blender to do what they can do with just a few data edits... That's MORE work than the devs do, so ~from a certain point of view~ I should get paid more than them.
The above is just me letting out frustration of the modding process, not even frustration of the community.. or anything else in particular. Out of simple principle I will not port something out of the game, do nothing with it, then porting it back in. No thanks. Not unless I bring in new meshes. Only thing I've done is modify the bathelm but I'm still not going to port out->in-> the rest of the suit if all i've done is retextured the rest.

arkham knight has 1,957 people playing.
i mean if those numbers dont pretty much sum everything up and doesnt make you understand that man this gothaam knights game was a huge failure and completely garbage then i pray for you.
LMAOO its crazy i literlly beg you to please search up "steamcharts gotham knights" then search up "steamcharts arkham knight" youll easily see which game is more popular and which game is completely dead with only 7 year olds playing it
