As you may have guessed. This file is an attempt at a faithful recreation of how strong Kratos would likely be at this point in the story. We were told by Mimir that our runes have long expired and Kratos admitted to not taking very good care of his armor. I think this is fine as an explanation, but it does not explain why Kratos has completely forgotten all his previous moves from 2018. It also doesn't explain why he's gotten weaker and more fragile in just a few short years
Unlike in 2018 where he was completely blindsighted by Baldur, Kratos has been dreading the day Thor would finally show up at his door for the last 3 years. Kratos has had time to train and should be far stronger than his God of War counterpart
In order to reflect that, my save file starts with Kratos at level 7 along with a full mastery of his two starting weapons. The idea is that despite losing all the insane magical perks he had at the end of God of War, Kratos has worked hard and is back to his physical peak, able to steamroll past basic enemies with low effort. He also has a much higher health pool and more rage. On top of that, I've raised Fury to level 3
Higher stats only do so much on this difficulty, however. Enemies are relentless and still hit hard, so don't get careless. Stones offer very little healing compared to the damage you'll be taking, so its still worth it to explore and gather materials for the tougher fights later on
Warning- I made this save on the Deluxe Edition. It may not be compatible with your game
SAVE 14- Beginning of Niðavellir Kratos is slightly weaker (Lvl 6) and has not mastered his weapons yet
SAVE 15- Just before meeting Durlin Niðavellir Favors have been completed Kratos is Level 7 with 295 HP I spent hours training Leviathan and the BoC to full mastery
