A free camera mod for Genshin Impac

Permissions and credits

To tilt the camera, you can use the left/right arrows on the keyboard. There is a setting, listed below, that can adjust the rate of this adjustment.

Finally, the extra options:
Smooth camera: Recommended for taking pictures. Has camera smoothing.
Cutscene component: For use with cutscenes. Enable this when a cutscene is happening and you want to use the free camera.
No Clip: Select this, and your character will appear below the camera. Move it around, and then disable it in an out of bounds area to go out of bounds!
Pause time: Stops time. Can be toggled on the menu, or the P key can also be used. Camera smoothing cannot be enabled with this.

Camera sensitivity: Adjusts sensitivity
Camera speed: Adjusts camera speed
Camera FOV: Adjusts the camera FOV (Doesn't always work with custom camera path).
Z rotation speed: Adjusts the speed at which the user can adjust the z axis of the camera.
Reset Z rotation: Makes tilt 0.

This is a free camera mod for genshin impact! With the free camera, you'll be able to go anywhere you wish! For taking screenshots, there are several camera control options included, and it also works for cutscenes! (Take a look below for details, IMPORTANT!)

To use this mod, follow this tutorial.

Why is this a new upload? The mod has been significantly redone and reworked in certain areas, only its very base is the same. In my original upload, QoL was the primary mod. Here, it is freecam.

What's included?
Free camera
Cutscene compatibility
FOV slider
Stop time
No Clip
More!

How it works:

To enable the free camera, press Ctrl+I to open the menu. After clicking on the menu, several options should show up!
Firstly, toggle on "Free camera". This should enable the basic free camera!
If the free camera doesn't work, it means it's using a different camera. The "Custom Camera Path" option should then be selected. Find your new camera using object explorer with melon and then copy paste it into the text field.

There are three control options, all three use the same keys as follows (W/S for forward/backward, A/D for left/right, up/down arrows for up and down). The three control options are:

  • Default: The camera will move based on its orientation
  • Axis-Based: The camera will move purely on the three axis (x,y,z)
  • Mix-axis-rotation: The camera will move based on its orientation on the x and y axis, however to move on the z axis you must use the up/down arrowsThis is the recommended control method for those taking pictures.

Finally, the extra options:
  • Smooth camera: Recommended for taking pictures. Has camera smoothing.
  • Cutscene component: For use with cutscenes. Enable this when a cutscene is happening and you want to use the free camera.
  • No Clip: Select this, and your character will appear below the camera. Move it around, and then disable it in an out of bounds area to go out of bounds!
  • Pause time: Stops time. Can be toggled on the menu, or the P key can also be used. Camera smoothing cannot be enabled with this.
  • Camera sensitivity: Adjusts sensitivity
  • Camera speed: Adjusts camera speed
  • Camera FOV: Adjusts the camera FOV (Doesn't always work with custom camera path).
  • Z rotation speed: Adjusts the speed at which the user can adjust the z axis of the camera.
  • Reset Z rotation: Makes tilt 0.

Important!

Since there are many screen options, and you don't want the camera to move while selecting these options, press the alt key when navigating it, like in regular genshin.

To-dos:
  • Path function
  • Fix fov for custom camera
  • Add smoothing for pause time camera
