The massive unit addition mod is here on Nexus now, regrettably(?). This mod adds a ton of units, with plenty of custom sprites, and more. Basically all of them have custom growths, too. I dunno what else to put here. This mod is always somewhat experimental, so report bugs to me over discord (my tag is oersted_lal) for the fastest response time, otherwise, use twitter or something. I basically never check nexus.
