About this mod
This mod simply swaps the Dark Aeon skins/textures with the default ones and visa-versa. This means you can play with your Aeons looking exactly like their Dark counterparts!

This mod simply swaps the Dark Aeon skins/textures with thedefault ones and visa-versa. This means you can play with your Aeons looking
exactly like their Dark counterparts!
#BIG-NOTE# Your Aeons will only LOOK LIKE the Dark Aeons! This is a re-texture mod and not an
Aeon Over-Haul mod! You WILL NOT possess any of the godlike abilities that the
actual Dark Aeons have! This is mainly because I still want to play the game normally, and not have severely overpowered Aeons, but still have my Aeons look insane in their Dark Forms while I play!
*** If you want to make your Aeons over-powered, go and download a save editor and you can easily fiddle
with their stats, abilities and names. ***
I have swapped the skins so that the Dark Aeon bosses you will encounter at the end of the game will look like the 'vanilla' ones (the
normal ones that you get if you played the game normally).
I thought this would be a fun touch and not ruin the feel that your aeons are not that special if you just fight them at the end, only to see that they are way stronger than you.
I made this mod because I played this game all the way through on PS2 back in 2001 and always thought the Dark Aeons looked way better
than Yuna's default Aeons. This is a mod I made for myself but I am sharing it for anyone else that fancied having their Aeons look like tanks!

###BIG BIG NOTE ### - You MUST HAVE Kaldain's "UntitledProject X" Mod which allows you to insert custom textures into the game.
YOU CANNOT USE THIS MOD WITHOUT THIS MOD! So go download it and install it if
you don't have it!

*** To Install –Simply Copy or Cut, then pastethe.dds (Texture File) files from the texture folders you want into your Texture Injection folder: This is located in your Final Fantasy X + X-2 Remaster Root folder. For me it looks like this:
Local DiskC:\SteamGames\steamapps\common\FINAL FANTASY FFX&FFX-2 HD Remaster\UnX_Res\inject\textures
*** Then! Load up your game and test it out!!! If it DOESN'T WORK FOR ANY REASON! Comment on my Mod's guide thread on steam and I will help sort out your issue. Always try to resolve the issue with me before just thumbs downing and slagging off mine and other modders hard work!! How my Folders are laid out to help you install
= Nikon's Dark AeonTexture Files - The Master Folder with everything inside it!
= I WANT IT ALL! - The Folder that has everything!!! if you just want all Aeons replaced with Dark skins and Dark Aeons set to vanilla just like my setup is, Just extract everything from here into the inject\textures folder and you're done!

+++Uninstallation +++
To uninstall this mod, simply delete or remove any of the files that you inserted INTO your FINAL FANTASY FFX&FFX-2 HD Remaster\UnX_Res\inject\textures and the job is done.
Because you aren't telling the game to manually override thedefault textures with my textures anymore, (because they've been removed by you from the ‘inject folder’) the game will go back to using the standard skins on its own! (Very clever really! - there's not much too it!)

- Thanks to Fraggoso formaking a fantastic 'Better Looking Textures for Final Fantasy' which improved over 3,600 textures in the game. It was from these textures that I swapped the Dark Aeons skins. Fragosso also helped me massively when I was experiencing issues with making my mod work. So big thanks to you buddy for helping me fix it you problem solved so much!
- Finally a big thanks to Hinnyuu and Great Duck who were great at replying to my initial post which contained my initial ideas.
They were also huge helpers in problem solving and were wonderfully patient!
