    Hi Pseudodiego.
Thanks for this mod and the other ones you've done.

I write to you because I've been working on a Mod Manager for Memoria that allows to install mods directly from the launcher. I think that registering your mods in there would make them much easier to install and more accessible.
Unfortunatly, Nexus doesn't provide a permanent direct download link, so I can't register the FF9 mods that are only uploaded on Nexus. If you upload your mods somewhere else that provides direct download links (dropbox, google drive, mediafire, github...), I can register them in the utility.

For now, only Memoria devs can manually register mods, so you'd need to tell me the download URLs and the descriptions you'd want for your mods. You can however write your own mod's description files and place it in your mod folders and these descriptions will be shown to the players after they download your mods. You can read more informations about that here:
    https://github.com/Albeoris/Memoria/wiki/Mod-Manager

The version of the launcher currently available with the latest Memoria's release lacks a couple of features (mainly the image preview) but you can use this updated version of the launcher to do your own tests.

(As a side note, I'm also working on an update of Alternate Fantasy.)

    Have a good day.

They actually do provide a way to get mods programmatically, done properly it would require the user to input their API key to the mod manager; Nexus Mods Public API.

Get in contact with Nexus staff to talk about your download manager they will gladly add yours into the API key list of applications, you can also use a personal key during development provided on that same link.

      Happy coding.

Thank you so much for this mod, now I can play and level up normally without worring about and thinking: "I could've been more stronger". I've tested all the files and I came up to the conclusion that +1 is the best option if you want to have perfect stats closest to vanilla when you level up at the end of the game with the best equipment. +2 is too op even for Alternate Fantasy mod, because at level 99 you get all stats near max, so if you choose +3 onwards, you break the game.
Here's a screenshot comparison I made with Zidane at level 99 with all gears slots set and the diffeences between +1 and +2:

Nice idea for a mod. I actually never knew FF9 had such an oddly specific and esoteric stat bonus system tied to equipment.
I did some digging, and I believe the +3 and +4 per stat per level (+12/16 total, for 4 diff stats) are actually comparable to a 'perfect run' with low lvl units and should be sufficient for most players. The best total stat bonuses on endgame gear average at around +14 per level (amarant gets like +12 max per level, poor bastard). While you can focus harder into certain stats and power level specific ones to 7+ or 8+, you can risk lowering your overall stats.
Alternate Fantasy isn't particularly different from Vanilla difficulty wise, so +3 seems like a decent middle ground.
As a side note, was the Marcus level bonus exploit removed in the modded PC version for when his character turns into Eiko?

I'm here to answer my own post after getting to disc 3 using this mod!
So this mod aims to address the problem of the stat bonus on level up for gear, by either removing the stats straight up (nobody gets it) or adding the stat bonuses to every single gear piece in the game. That's like a flat 5+ bonus to stats on every gear piece you have on your body if you pick the most busted one, which means you'll cap out on spirit and speed at basically the start of the game, and the other stats at about midgame.
This has the unfortunate side effect of reducing the importance of powerful gear pieces, since stat bonuses on everything will be literally all the same, leather shirt, robe of lords, doesn't matter, +0-5 to everything. You'd be hard pressed not to cap out the stats on every character with even the +3 mid range option. Even +1 would make the most minor of gear pieces statistically superior to most of the endgame items you'd get in vanilla.

My conclusion is that this is less of a balancer and more of a cheat mod, for sure. Low level playthroughs can be cumbersome for most players, and the feeling of having an imperfect save does suck, but getting free stat bonuses for just putting any gear on your body doesn't sit well with me. I'm cool with the idea of the 0+ option but it also erases any temporary stat buffs from weapons/armor other than defense and evasion, making the game harder, but also a bit simpler and less rewarding.
I'd be down for a mod that recoded the levelling formula so it ignored any bonus stat points from gear. I'm starting to think it was more of a bug that they left in than an intentional choice like bonus stats from Espers in FF6.
Anyway, no hate at all on this mod, just wanted to share my thoughts.
Also if anyone's curious, that Marcus-Eiko bug was not removed, which means you can get an Eiko with insanely high stats if you grind Marcus up enough in Gargan Roo.

Thanks for your thoughts. Truth be told i did this mod for the +0 version, because i wanted the game to be more challenging and i didn't want to worry about getting perfect stats. The other versions are there for people that just want an easier time.

After finishing the game a few days ago, i still felt it is way too easy. Ozma only toke me two tries and none of the other bosses killed me, even without using a really optimized party.
So i'll make a hard mod. I plan to reasignate the element defenses of the armors and the type of damage that the weapons do. The equipment you'll use will be based around the bosses. Not in base at what stats you get for it.

My final aim is to make something like Final Fantasy Unleashed. That mod made the combat perfect. And it had fixed stats too, reducing somewhat the effects of being overleveled.

Pity it was never ported to the steam version.

Any update on the mod? I like the idea to remove the stat gains on level up, but I still want temporary stat gains to not lose the importance to choose better gear. I don't like that trash gear has the same effect like high end gear when it comes to stats.

Found a way. No need to use this mod to disable stat grow. Here is how to disable stat grow without removing stats on the items altogether: https://github.com/Albeoris/Memoria/issues/181

Will this work with the Beatrix-only Alternate Fantasy mod, or does it require the full mod?

Can this be used as a standalone mod (ie without Alternate Fantasy)?

I'm wondering about this too, since I only use Moguri and not AF.

Yes. Just replace the stats file from Moguri mod with the one from this mod.

You install first Moguri mod and alternate Fantasy and them you extract this mod and copy the Alternate Fantasy folder into the FFIX.

You can modify the experience you need to level up yeah. I think there is a file called leveling that you can modify.
