What Are Kupo Mods?
Kupo Mods is a collection of mods managed by me, Faospark, originally part of a larger project called Mog Add-ons. Mog Add-ons was first introduced on the Moogles and Mods Discord server and later uploaded to Nexus Mods in September 2021.
Initially, it started as a graphical enhancement mod focused on improving the UI, character portraits, and controller support for Final Fantasy IX. Over time, it grew significantly, becoming one of the largest mods for the Steam version of the game in terms of scope.
As the project expanded, the original mod was split into several standalone mods to better organize and manage its features. These include:

Why the Name Change?
The sudden name change might come as a surprise, but it has been in consideration since 2023. The concept originated after I watched a video where "Mog Add-ons" were consistently called "Kupo Mods", shout out to Sugi JRPG. This new name resonated with me, prompting the decision to embrace a new beginning with a new branding .
Why Mog Add-ons were split ?
There were a couple of factors that were considered for the decision , First , There mod is really getting large . Second, There are new mods made that are quite identical to some of the submods mainly because they are buried inside the mod, and lastly i was asked by the creators of Memoria mod Manager. So eventually I did split the mods starting version 4. As of January 14, 2025 all mods now have separate pages on nexus mods and all are also featured on the mod manager.

Kupo Controller Pack
One of the first COMPLETE controller buttons pack of FF9, contains 5 preset buttons for you to choose
Available Themes:- PlayStation Vanilla prompts [On by default] the closest to the game stock UI, Turned on by Default- (Dualshock 4) PlayStation Gloss prompts a glossier type and default install- (Dualsense) PS5 white button prompts Black and White look of PS5- Pixel Type Button Prompts if you want it old School- SNES North American one [via request] Because we can.
Support Ability Cost
Allows You to have 1 Gem cost per support ability or Half. This was the earliest public release of this type of Mod that modifies the Gem Cost of Support Abilities (available since April 5 2022 see See here )
Exp , AP, Gil , Rewards Tweak
The mod name implies it all. If you want to change the amount of exp or AP even Battle rewards. this is the mod to us
No Exp Plus
If you want some degree of challenge. This mod basically suppresses leveling up in game and more

Kupo Heroes Pack
A set of Character enhancements that powers up characters and reduces grind. Ideal for players seeking a fresh character experience without changing the story, flow, or core gameplay mechanics.
Modern Labels +
A small modification/ partial retranslation that replaces items and spell names with modern Final Fantasy naming conventions. Ideal for players who were introduced to the franchise after FFX.

Cursors Mod
A set of scaled down cursors for the game replacing the oversized default one. Defaults to a downsized hand cursor but has Several options :
Dagger, Ultima Blade, Staff, Outlined, Pixel, Record Keeper, and Quill
Retired Mod
Airship Plus
Is a short lived submod created around the same time kupo heroes pack . the mod features faster travel for transportation and some camera angles preset when flying the airship or chocobo plus, mist control in the world map. This mod has since been retired and as memoria now featuresmore robust options. portions of this mod were placed in kupo Heroes pack.
